Tyler was silent as he studied her, he wondered how much her mind wandered off to think about his past
He knew she was going to ask, but he did not think it would be that soon
He sighed, her question reminded him of the day he wished he forgot
"You ...don't have to answer it" she mumbled "my mind just got the best of me" she said and laid her head on his chest wrapping her arm around his torso, Tyler wrapped his arm around her body on reflex
A few seconds passed before he spoke
"It was Thursday" He started "her parents were out on a business trip for three days. She never told me but I knew because my parents were involved with the business"
Alex looked in open space as she listened to him and the rapid heartbeat that beat in his ribcage
"I remember missing her because she didn't show up at school... I decided to go to her place but made a stop at a bakery and bought her her favorite cupcakes" he chuckled at how dumb he was back then
"I pulled up at her place and walked to her door with a smile on my face, the door was opened by the maid... her eyes widened immediately she saw me" he sighed "I should've taken that as a sign but I greeted her with a grin on my stupid face and entered the house... where is she? I asked her but she seemed to have lost the ability to speak" he took a long breath
"I looked at her weirdly and ignored her, Gwen wasn't in the living room so I figured she was in her room... with her cupcakes in my hands I walked to her room the stupid grin still plastered on my face... I was her boyfriend and her family knew, so I was free to go her room when I visited" he chuckled "I remember opening the door..."
Silence seeped in the room
Tyler exhaled heavily
Alex waited to hear the next part but Tyler never spoke, it was only for a few seconds but it felt like minutes to her
She had never been a fan of suspense
Alex looked up, she shuffled and laid on her tummy, she bent her arms placing them on his chest and laid her head on her hands
Her focus was on him but his eyes were glued to the ceiling
"I found one of my closet friends in between her legs, pounding in and out of her hard as she moaned his name" he said quietly
Alex parted her lips in shock
"I dropped the cupcakes from my hands and that caught their attention, I remember their eyes widen but I left the instant the registered my presence in the room ...I was down, hurt... I didn't know what to do... I didn't tell anyone the reason why we broke up, I locked myself in and dealt with all the pain alone"
Alex was loss of words as he continued explaining
"I felt betrayed, I never thought they'd do something so sick as that...Louis was like a brother to me, I didn't get why he'd do such a thing... along my recovery I lost trust in girls and became a bit distant... at some point I thought friends were useless and backstabbers but the rest of the guys proved me wrong, they held on to me and opened my eyes... friends weren't that bad, Louis was the one that had bad intentions and had no shame hiding"
"That's completely different from what he told me" Alex mumbled
"If he told you the truth then you wouldn't have became close that's why he didn't tell you" he looked down to her "you're a good person Alex, you'd have backed away immediately you knew the actual story"
He smiled and looked back to the ceiling
"A year or two later I saw a picture of a beautiful girl on Angelo's wallpaper, all the vibes of not dating again were thrown out the window" he chuckled lightly
"You looked so beautiful on that wallpaper but I had only gotten a glimpse of you, I looked you up on social media... and boy was I smitten by you"
Alex giggled
"I followed you immediately... call me stalker but I followed your social life and saved all your pictures ...only for my eyes"
"If you liked me that much, why didn't you approach me?" she asked
Tyler snorted
"You were young and you know your father didn't like you being in the tabloids or magazines or rather social media drama"
"The IG account was made in secret without his consent, I'm surprised you found my username" she pointed out
"Only because it was tagged in one of Angelo's posts"
"You were really determined to find me" She fought a smile on her face
"Yeah" he looked at her with a smile "I've liked you for years babe, I only stayed away because I didn't want to cause you any unnecessary trouble, I liked you in secret" he said
"So you were like my furtive admirer" she grinned
"We could say that" he tilted his head
Her smile went wide
"I'm glad your mother let you stay here last semester, I agreed because I didn't want my mother to beg but part of me wanted you to live here and call my place your home and maybe someday if I got lucky make you mine"
"Well you got lucky, I'm yours now"
"You are" He nodded
Tyler looked into her eyes with a smile on her face, she was really it for him. After all those years she was finally his
As he looked deep into her eyes, he knew, he realized that he cared for her deeply, he would do anything for the woman that lay in his arms
Why?
Because he loved her
"Come here" he whispered
Alex reached his face and he pulled her down for a passionate kiss, he poured all his feeling into the kiss
He wanted her to feel how much he felt for her
How much he loved her
