The shirt.

Ruby's POV

" I.. I always thought that, you were the most beautiful girl I've ever seen." Eddie said.
"Really?"
"Yes."
Even though I couldn't see his face, I knew he was smiling.
So was I.
We went back to skull rock, still freezing.
I eventually fell asleep.
And at some point so did Eddie.
I woke up to people arguing, Steve and Dustin.
Eddie was already awake.
He was staring at me, almost to check if I was still breathing.
"Your staring."
"Well the way you sleep, I thought your bones were broken."
I tried so hard not to laugh, but it just happened, i bursted out laughing.
So did Eddie.
Then Steve and Dustin made it.
"SEE I told you Henderson, this is where skull rock is." Steve laughed as he said.
"Wait what?" Dustin said.
Dustin kept looking at his compass while The rest of us talked.
"Is Dustin possessed?"
"Him, no."
"You sure?" I added into Eddie and Dustins conversation
"BOOM!" Dustin yelled, startling everyone.
"I was right." Dustin added on.
"Henderson don't even start this I-" Steve started to say.
"No, I wasn't wrong, the compass was."
"What do you me-"
"The compass was wrong. I wasn't, look!"
Dustin then showed us a compass pointing the wrong direction..
"And, if there's something with a stronger magnetic field it does this. There's a gate here."
"A gate?" Me and Eddie said in sync.
"A gate, to the upside down, like I explained earlier." Dustin says annoyed.
So we went to look, while walking I grabbed eddies wrist.
"Eddie. Please be careful."
"Oh. My. God." He said dramatically "Does THE Ruby Fraser, have a crush on Eddie "the freak" Munson?"
"Eddie, I'm being serious."
He frowned a bit, then gave a comforting smile.
" I will."
Then a smirk grew on his face, and he picked me up and slung me on his shoulder.
"EDDIE. IM GOING TO MURDER YOU."
But he just whistled happily.
We finally made it the stopping point.
"The lake?" I said still on eddies arm.
"Yup."
"We still have the boat."
After finally getting the boat to the place we needed me, Eddie, Nancy, And robin got in, while Steve told dustin only 4.
After he finished untying the rope, he jumped in.
"Sorry, Henderson!"
"Wait, are we going in? I asked nervously.
"Uhm no." Robin replied
"If we have to." Steve said.
Then the compass started spinning like crazy.
"We're here!" Nancy said.
"I'll go check for sure." Steve said.
Steve then pulled of his shirt and dived in.
It was freezing again, so I laid my head on Eddie's shoulder.
He smiled, thinking I didn't see.
Then Steve came back up.
"It's for sure there." He said, then went under again.
When he came back up he was shocked.
"What was that." We all said in sync
Then he got dragged under again, and didn't come up.
Nancy immediately jumped in.
Then robin.
It was just me and Eddie freaking out.
So I grabbed his face and fell backwards.
We both hit the water.
I grabbed his hand as we swam, then we saw the gate.
It was huge.
We swam in it, and fell onto the ground, running to robin and Nancy, Steve looked hurt but had been okay.
Then I felt something grab my leg and..
YANK
I fell on my face. "EDDIE."

Eddies POV

She had fallen and a bat thing had her foot, more were swarming.
I grabbed my paddle, and kept hitting but nothing was working, then two more flew over and bit her stomach.
She screamed in pain.
"EDDIE PLEASE HELP."
Finally we got all of them off her, and looked at her injuries.
Hers were worse than Steve's.
I panicked.
She laughed though.
"Hey, Steve we're bite buddy's!"
She giggled then winced.
He chuckled a bit.
"I am okay. Im ok Eddie."
"No your not. Your in pain." I said tucking a hair behind her ear.
She smiled.
"Ok, well now we have to help you up. And it's going to hurt very bad."
"Oh, well that's nice."
Me, robin, and Nancy helped her up, she was crying, I felt horrible.
Me and robin stood on each side of her, helping her walk.
"Sorry for being a bother. But can these like, give you rabies?" Robin questioned while she stopped walking.
"Uhm. What." I said hinting at Robin to be quiet.
"Sorry, but like rabies is my worst fear."
"WHAT." Ruby said while she stopped walking.
"I'm going to get rabies?"
"Steve's going to get rabies."
"We are all going to get rabies." She said while sticking her hands up and hissing.
"Sense of humor is still intact!" Robin smiled.
We kept walking, then found skull rock, a nice place to rest.
"Uhm, guys I'm still bleeding, I need something to cover these." Steve said.
"Yeah, me too.."
Nancy ripped part of his shirt and Eddie took off his.
I had to take my shirt off to so his shirt could reach my rib cage that had gotten 3 bites out of it.
Eddie wrapped his shirt around me and tied the sleeves of it.
It hurt a crap ton.
Then Eddie helped me get off the leaning rock.
I smiled at him, then realized I had no shirt on, just a bra and blushed.
"Don't look."
"I'm going to put my shirt back on."
I put my shirt on and then we started walking.
"We have to kill vecna." Nancy said."
"I have guns in my room."
"You, Nancy wheeler, have guns? Plural. In your bedroom?"
"Woah"
So we were on the way to Nancy's house.
When we got to her room though, there was no guns.
Nancy looked shocked.
"This is all my old stuff, it's supposed to be gone."
"This room is from when barb died."
Then I felt a sharp pain.
I fell to the ground.
"Ruby! Are you okay?" He said while helping me up.
"Stupid bats." I spoke
He then picked me up bridal style, "thanks."
"The lights in the upside down work."
"We can send a sign."
