The stone walls that surround the town stand just a few yards away. You hesitate when you see a group of stormtroopers pass by the entrance as they sweep the border.

Din must've seen the look of fear on your face because he turns to face you, hiding you from the view of the troopers.

"Hey, hey, it's gonna be okay."

Flashes of that trooper cutting you flicker through your mind. You can see the soldiers that guarded your cell at Fortress Inquisitorious, and the ones that chased you through the streets on multiple occasions. The ones that stood by... watching as you were tortured.

"I... I know," you whisper. "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me."

Cara gently grabs your shoulders to turn you to face her and you blink dumbly as she fiddles with your sleeves, adjusting how they fit with your cuffs.

"It's gonna be okay. It's gonna be fine," she mumbles. When you raise your brow at her, she reaches up to pull your hood over your head. "I know why you're scared. And I know it feels stupid. These people have done terrible things... it doesn't matter how strong you are, it still feels terrible being in their presence."

Your eyes widen and you nod slowly in agreement, surprised that she was able to put your emotions into words.

"You can sense it, can't you?" Din murmurs, glancing back at the stormtroopers at the entrance. Two of them are lounging on their speeders, lazily looking around the area.

"I... I'm having flashes. I don't know why. This didn't happen last time you brought me here," you whisper, nervously watching them.

"We have to keep moving," Karga interrupts. "They're going to get suspicious."

"He's right. I'll be fine," you mumble, straightening your back and staring straight ahead.

"Cuyir kotir, ner cyare," Din mutters as you start to walk forward. Be brave. "This will all be over soon."

You nod, meeting a trooper's stare as the group walks to the entrance.

One of the troopers rises from their slump against a speeder and approaches you.

"Chain code?" he asks in a bored tone.

"I have a gift for the boss," Karga replies proudly, gesturing to you and Din.

"Chain code," the trooper repeats in a stern manner, ordering for it this time.

Karga sighs and pulls out his identification, showing it to the trooper. The soldier yanks it from his grasp, glancing at you for a moment before scanning the ID.

"I'll give you twenty credits for the helmet."

Your wandering eyes snap back to the soldier, a glare prominent on your expression. You refuse to let them touch Din.

"Not a chance! That's going on my wall," Karga laughs, pointing at Din.

Din slowly turns his head to look at Karga, the air around him dripping with annoyance.

"On your wall?" he asks softly.

"Go with it," Karga mumbles before turning back to the stormtrooper. You roll your eyes and wait for the soldier to finish reading Karga's chain code, annoyed with how long this is taking.

"Go ahead," the trooper says, handing Karga his identification. Karga shoves Din forward and you can feel Cara's hand on the small of your back, softly nudging you to move.

Annoyance only grows as you watch the number of stormtroopers grow as you step into the town. This is more than Karga had said.

"You said four," you hiss from under your hood. "There are more than four troopers."
