Steve and Amelia sat in the car as he drove, silently trying to process what Dustin just explained.
"Wait a second, how big?" Steve asked
"He was this big—now he's this big" Dustin said, making bigger sizes with his hands
"I swear it's some little lizard man—"
"Lizard—"
"How do you know it's not a lizard—"
"How do I—because it's face opened up and it ate my cat!" Dustin yelled
"Jesus Christ" Amelia mumbled
Once they got there, Steve opened his trunk and grabbed a nail bat, earning an odd look from Amelia
"What?" He asked
"Why in the living hell do you have that?" She asked
"Nothing—it's nothing." He said, Emmy didn't fully believe him, but dismissed the thought due to the situation at hand
"I don't hear shit" Steve said as he stood in front of the storm cellar
"Me neither" Emmy said
"He's in there" Dustin said, but Steve didn't buy it
"Listen, if this is some halloween prank" Steve said, flashing his light right in Dustin's face, "You're dead"
"It's—it's not—get that away from me" Dustin said as he squinted his eyes, trying not to look directly at the light
"You got a key for this thing?" Steve asked
Steve opened the storm cellar, just as Emmy was about to go in he put his arm in front of her in an attempt to stop her
"Behind me" Steve said, he walked in first and Emmy went in behind him, confused about the previous interaction
"I'll stay up here, in case he...escapes" Dustin said, none of them believing him but choosing to ignore him
Steve kept going down, and Emmy made a grossed out expression when he used his nail bat to grab a gooey skin thing
"Ew, what is that" Emmy said
"I don't..." Steve trailed off once he looked at the hole in the wall, Emmy's eyes widened at the sight
"Steve?" Dustin could be heard from upstairs
"Get down here" Steve said, still looking at the hole
"Shit" Dustin said when he saw the skin on Steve's bat, "Oh, shit!" he yelled when he saw the hole
"No way..." Steve mumbled
"What are we gonna do?" Dustin asked
"We obviously need to go where that thing went" Emmy said, "Is there something that might lure it into following us?"
"Lure it?! No way! I'm not letting that thing come near you!" Steve yelled
"I'll be fine, Steve! We need to lure it so we can fight it, cause clearly there's something wrong with it!" Emmy explained
"You don't even know what you're dealing with!" Steve yelled again
"And you do?!" She said, Dustin was about to say something until Steve slightly nudged him
"Meat" Dustin said, making the two look at him, "I think meat will lure him"
