Chapter Twenty-Five: Lost

Sobrang maaantukin ako ngayon :< Sa chapter na 'to, ilang beses akong nakatulog. Siguro dahil ginawa ko din sila past 12AM na ready na matulog kaya minsan naiiwanan. Hehe sorry and I hope maenjoy niyo ang chapter na 'to!

"Raven, no'ng sinabi mong adventure... Hindi ganito ang ini-expect ko!"

Sinamaan ko ng tingin ang mangiyak-ngiyak na si Tamara dahil medyo tumaas ang boses niya.

"We're breaking into an unauthorized room!" she screamed-whispered.

I rolled my eyes. "Oh my. Thank the heavens you realize that, Tamara. Akala ko ang 'adventure tonight' ay sapat na para malaman mong I'm up to no good."

"Raven, I thought we're just pranking someone. O baka kukuha ka lang ng pagkain sa kitchen kahit past curfew hours na. Hindi ganito!"

"Well, unfortunately, it's 'ganito!'" I copied her voice so well she wasn't happy. Ngumiti ako na nagresulta sa ngiwi. "Uh, sabihin ko na lang if makita tayo na kinidnap kita?"

That would be believable with my insane demonic queen reputation here in school. Kulang na lang magpatayo sila ng rebulto ko, just to spite and destroy it kasi hindi nila maipalabas ang inis sa'kin.

Who would even dare? Kung gusto nila ng broken nose, I guess.

Bumuntong-hininga si Tamara. "You don't need to do that since I happily agreed. Dapat siguro hindi tayo makita."

"That's my Tam!"

My cheerful response was instantly quieted down when we heard footsteps. Hinatak ako ni Tamara palapit sa pader para doon tumayo. This way the unvisited sections of the hallway light would shed us from the newcomers. Hinahanap pa kasi namin ang tamang pintuan na pinasukan nina Andreas kanina. With the numerous doors in this hall with the same design, it's almost impossible to know which is which.

"Sigurado akong may narinig ako dito. Tunog babae."

I almost groaned when Kam and Helios popped into my view. Sa lahat ng araw na pwedeng magbantay ang dalawang Elites na 'to, ngayon pa. At kasama pa talaga si araw!

Their eyes surveyed the whole place, looking for the source of the sound, which is either me and Tamara because we both had loud responses. I bet Helios could just direct his palm on our direction and we would be caught up already ㅡ because the man is a walking flashlight ㅡ but thankfully, they were too smart that the idea did not cross their dumb minds.

"There's nothing here," ani Helios. "No one can leave the house when it's past curfew."

Ay, 'di mo sure.

"E ano ang narinig ko? Multo?"

Helios did not bother answering Kamiel's question and continued walking ahead. Napakamot na lang sa ulo ang naiwang lalaki at halos tumakbo pasunod sa araw. I guess he was also kind of scared, huh. Mabuti pa siguro ireport ko ang impormasyong 'to kay Solana dahil laging nag-aaway ang dalawa.

"Helios doesn't need to use his soulstone during these times, Raven. He can feel other soulbearer's presence. I wonder why he didn't feel us." Kinunotan ko ng noo si Tamara dahil parang sinagot niya ang tanong ko kanina. She gave me a sheepish smile in return. "I guessed from your face. Parang hindi ka makapaniwalang naisahan natin sila."

"I think Helios knows. He noticed you earlier-"

Halos mapasigaw kaming dalawa ni Tamara nang marinig ang malalim na boses sa likod. Malapit na ngang tumakbo ang katabi ko dahil baka sa kaniya pa mangyari ang multong sinambit ni Kamiel kanina.

Sabay naming nilingon ang walang-hiyang nanggulat. Azriel looked almost as shocked and scared as we were, with his eyes wide and his posture rigid. He opened his mouth, probably to say something, then closed it, then opened it, before opting to close it again-
