"Didn't we have an agreement?"

Elijah couldn't respond. His body was tensed, frozen. Contemplation prevented his voice from coming out.

"Don't make me repeat myself."

"It won't happen again," Elijah replied, his voice faltering. Tears clouded his vision as memories of their past flashed back in his mind.

"I believe that's not my question."

He wanted to escape. As expected, his older brother's presence was too much for him to bear. He couldn't face him or even look at his feet, but he was yearning.

He just couldn't.

"I- I'm sorry, ge–"

It was a very brief exchange but that had his knees weak and his body shaking. He gasped for air desperately as he felt his whole system threatening to shut down.

Relying only on his presence of mind, he fumbled through his phone contacts for Luciel's number.

It rang and rang but he didn't pick up.

It was the same for Genesis.

"Luciel...ge. Help," he whimpered before darkness took over.
