Chapter I.

SPENCER POV

Kriiiiiing, nagulat ako ng tumunog yung alarm clock. I quickly reach for it and turned it off. Actually kanina pa ko gising, hinintay ko lang talaga na tumunog yung alarm clock. Im quite nervous and excited as well. First day of school, im spencer im in my junior year, my family and I move here in LA several weeks ago, were from OHIO. They decided to move here because LA offers much better opportunities than OHIO, and way narin ito, to escape the judgment of narrow minded people who lived in OHIO. Being gay there is not acceptable, not like here in LA you get some judgment as well as acceptance. Yah, you got it right im Gay/Lesbian. I like girls, no I love girls.

                Natigil ako sa malalim kong pag iisip ng biglang may kumatok. “SPENCER” it was Glen, may twin brother he actually five minutes older than me “What?” I responded. “I don’t want to be late, it’s our first day” he says. Nagmadali nakong kumilos sabay kasi kaming papasok. Mahirap mag commute dito sa LA kaya lahat halos may sariling sasakyan, actually yung car na ginagamit namin ni Glen ay saming dalawa since siya yung panganay by default kanya yun at siya lagi masusunod ang daya lang. How I wish I have my own. After 45 minutes im done. I wear a pants, a heals, a sexy top that showing a little bit of my skin, a mild make up to complete my attire. I just love girls but it doesn’t mean I need to wear baggy clothes or man clothes in order to show that im into girls.

 Nung bumaba ako, nasa lamesa na silang lahat, I just grab a banana and drink my milk I kiss mom and dad goodbye, ganun din ginawa ni Glen then lumabas na kami. Mom and Dad, wave us goodbye. Enjoy Mom says.

                After half an hour of driving we reach King High. I jump off the car and wave a goodbye to Glen, I need to hurry up because I don’t know where my classroom are. It was an art class. Ayoko talaga sa art pero kaylangan. Nagmamadali na talaga ako.

                And all of the sudden “YAY” and all my things are scattered into the floor. “Im sorry” I hear her apologize and she quickly help me to pick up my things, I look up ang ganda niya it was my first time na makakita ng ganun kaganda. Kung totoo ang love at first sight malamang eto na yun. (love agad? PBB teens?)  Nag slow motion yung paligid yung parang sa mga movie, sa sandaling oras na memorize ko na agad yung muka niya. Her brown eyes, pointed nose, curly hair and kissable lips. Pwede nakong mamatay pag nakiss ko yun.

                “Miss?” she interrupted napansin niya kaya na masyado akong napatitig sakanya? Back to reality Spence. “Sorry ulit, ok kalang ba?” “Yes I am” sagot ko and the bell ring “I think kaylangan na natin pumasok? Ang pangit ata kung first day of school tapos were late” she said while smiling. I nod, I can’t resists but to smile back. She’s so cute yung smile niya napaka genuine hindi pilit, napaka natural then nakita ko nalang siya naglalakad opposite to my direction.

                When I reach my classroom, I quickly occupied the empty seat at the back. As soon as I got seated the black girl beside me turn to me and say “Hi im Chelsea and you are?” “Spencer” “Your new here right? This is Kyla” pointing the girl beside her “Hi” kyla said. “Hi” I responded.

                Mabait si Chelsea, parang hindi palang kami bagong magkakilala kung magkwento siya, at buti nalang classmate ko siya in my art class, nakakatamad kasi and siya lang yung nagtatanggal ng boredom ko. Madaldal kasi siya, feeling ko sobrang close na kami ang dami ko ng nalaman about her. And about nadin sa school.

                After class were heading to our next class, “Anong next class mo?” tanong ni Chelsea, “Literature ikaw?” sagot ko. “Literature din sa OB building.” “Your kidding me right?” I exclaimed. “Im not” she says “were classmate?” sabi naming parehas and then we laugh. “ang daya” sabi ni Kyla.

                 Yung second class ko para ring sa first class kasi kwentuhan lang kami ng kwentuhan ni Chelsea para siyang hindi mauubusan ng kwento, I like her. Mukang wala ata akong matututunan buong sem, sabi ko sa sarili ko wag naman sana. Ang bilis mapalagay ng loob ko kay Chelsea, she’s amazing.

LUNCHBREAK

                Papunta na kaming canteen and we saw Kyla, we look for a vacant seat and eat our lunch. I think I need to tell them that Im gay, I said at the back of my mind since sila yung una kong naging kaibigan dito no need na mag lie ako, im sick of hiding myself in the closet just like what I use to do back in OHIO. Atleast kung hindi sila open sa ganoong idea pwede na nila akong iwasan right away pero wag naman sana.

                “I have to tell you something” I said without hesitation Chelsea nod and Kyla look at me figuring out what it is I sigh “Im gay” “Cool” Chelsea says, that’s not what I expected to be her reaction but it is. “Im also one” Kyla stated im just like *o*

                “Why?” Kyla asks, “Nothing it just like you don’t fall into my gay radar” I responded she laugh nonstop, im like ok cool. Nakakita nako ng mga kaibigan na tanggap kung sino ako at surprisingly yung isa dun katulad ko, no need to hide Spencer. Chelsea pinch Kyla on the cheek nonstop padin kasi yung tawa ni Kyla, I didn’t notice this earlier, ang sweet pala nila parehas sa isa’t isa then ang cute din nila pag magkasama tapos bigla kong naisip “kayo?” I point my finger to Kyla then to Chelsea. “Hindi ha” sagot ni Chelsea habang natatawa nadin. “How I wish” Kyla stated with a big smile then tumawa ulit. “Wag ka ngang magulo Kyla, don’t confuse Spencer” tumatawa padin “I have a boyfriend Spence, magkikita kami after classs I think you should meet her.” Chelsea said excitedly nagiba agad yung mood niya upon saying her boyfriend. We continue to talk about anything while waiting for our next class.  It was great knowing that I don’t have to hide my true self to the people around me. It is true new places, new me.

                Sadly wala akong classmate sa kanilang dalawa. My third class goes out well as well as my last class.

                As soon as the bell ring, I grab my things and go straight to the gym, it was Glen try out for the basketball team, I need to wait for him because I need a lift home, isa nga lang yung kotse diba? How I wish I have my own car. I sigh, thinking na mukang ganto ang magiging set up for the rest of the year.

                As I heading my way towards the gym I hear a familiar voice “Spence” I turned around and then I see Chelsea with her boyfriend I think, they approached me “Hey” I said with a big smile on my face. “Spence this is Clay my boyfriend, Clay this is Spence my new friend” sabi niya habang nakasmile. “Hi” Clay say, I nod and give him a sweet smile.

                 “So did I miss something?” I look right and surprisingly Kyla is right there, diko napansin na lumapit pala siya. “Nothing” Chelsea said. “So we have to go, you know the relationship thing?  we have a date” Chelsea said excitedly with a wild eyes. I feel in her voice that she was so inlove and while saying that Clay can’t help it but hold Chelsea close to him, sweet. They both inlove to each other.

                “You Spence do you have any plan? Ayoko pang umuwi, I don’t have any homework to do kaya tatamadin lang ako sa bahay panigurado” Kyla said with a not so cool face. “Im actually going to the gym, my brother have his tryout, I need to wait for him. I need a ride home” I explained briefly. “Cool I can actually give you a ride home” upon hearing that I smile widely I don’t even want to watch basketball, mas gusto ko pang manuod ng spongebob than watching guys who have sweat all over their body. “But I think its cooler if we go to the gym and watch the cheering squad practice, i think its also the best way to waste our time” she added with a grin on her face. My smiles actually turn to a frown. “Mahalay” sabi ni Chelsea and that one actually make me laugh. “Ok I think I don’t have any choice, let’s go Kyla” we wave Chelsea goodbye and we walk straight to the gym.
