Chapter 3

After the duel between Yuya and Y/N. Yuya was standing alone in the tunnel, recalling the duel that had just happened

"Blue-Eyes Link Dragon..." he mutters as he casts his gaze away from the exit

A strange but familiar feeling swirled inside his stomach as a frown appeared on his face for the first time in a while. The aura that the dragon gives off is concerning, a mixture of grief, anger, vengefulness, and mourning could be heard every time it let out a powerful roar. How could he tell this? Yuya didn't know, and neither did Yuto.

"Hey" Yuya turns back and sees that Y/N is calling for him

"Hey, that's a good duel, I hope that we can have our rematch sometime" Yuya tries to start a conversation, but gets ignored by Y/N as he's too busy searching his deck

"Your last name is Sakaki right?" Y/N speaks slowly as he picks out a certain card from the pile of cards

"Um...yes...is there any problem?" Yuya hesitantly answers, the green-haired boy can't have a good read of the young boy standing the opposite of him. Despite Y/N being just a few more years older than Yuya, the pendulum user feels like he's talking with a middle-aged old man.

"Then your father is Sakaki, right?"

"Um yeah...Is that a problem"

"No...no" he replies calmly shaking his head "That's a stupid question to ask, sorry about that, I should've realized it sooner"

"Now, tell me, does this card look familiar to you" Y/N shows Yuya the card that he's holding in his hand for a while now.

"How..." Yuya asks in a surprised tone as his eyes widen slightly, lying in his palm is another copy of Smile World

"Does this card look familiar to you"

"Yes..." he hesitantly answers "Where did you get that card?"

"...Who knows?" Y/N sighs as he puts the card back in his deck. Then he lets out another sigh as he turns away and starts walking to the exit

"To think that he was that demon..." The silhouette of Yuto appears next to Yuya with a big scowl on his face "To think that he even dares to show up in this peaceful city" He speaks with venom in his voice as he shoots a glare at the Link user

"?"

"Demon? What are you talking about?" Yuya asks "Isn't this your second time meeting him? What demon are you talking about?"

"This is our third time actually" After a long pause, Yuto replies, still keeping his glare at Y/N "Me and him...We and him...have a little history together..."

"History?"

"That's a long story" He replies with a scowl

Yuya gave him a questioning look, there's surely something fishy going on, from the three guys that he encountered the other night who share the same faces as him, to Yuto, his companion from now on, having some unpaying debt with Y/N, he speaks about him like he's trying to kill him with venom in his voice.

Yuya turns his attention to the door, where Y/n has just stand

"...you should keep his guard up around him, Yuya."

"But why? He seems like a normal guy, a little distant and cold, but still a pretty much normal guy"

"Look can be deceiving, Yuya. Never trust anyone based on their appearance"
