No one's POV

The bus stopped at the stop located near the indoor ice rink. Hailey and Jake stepped off and started making their way to the rink

"Jake, it's really sweet of you to surprise me with this date.." Hailey smiled "but..why choose the ice rink? I mean, I'm not complaining, but still. I kind of suck at skating"

"No worries!" Jake smiled back. "I'm a natural pro! I can help ya!"

Hailey smiled. "Thanks Jake"

When the two got inside, they got their skates and put them on. "Ready to watch and learn, princess?" Jake asked as Hailey and him stepped onto the ice, holding the sides of the rink so neither of them would fall

Hailey shrugged. "I mean...I guess.." she smiled nervously. Jake nodded and let go of the side. As soon as he did however, he fell back. "Are you okay...?!" Hailey asked, still holding onto the edge of the rink. Jake got up fast and brushed himself off. "Yep! No worries!"

Hailey let go of the rink, and Jake grabbed her hand. "It's like walking, but with style. Pizzazz" Jake said, winking at Hailey. Hailey giggled as she and Jake continued on their way. Jake was trying to not wobble a whole bunch. Thankfully, Hailey didn't notice

After a bit, they parted hands. Jake began to wobble more. He watched as Hailey practically skated circles around him. "I thought you said you weren't good at this..?!" he said in astonishment. Hailey shrugged. "Guess I'm better than I took myself for!"

Jake smiled and then fell down to the ground, still watching his girlfriend's amazing skating skills

Hailey quickly skated over and skidded to a stop. "You okay...?!" She asked. Jake nodded, rubbing his side a bit. "You hurt anything..?" Hailey asked. "Just my dignity" Jake said jokingly while standing. "Are you sure you're as good at this as you say you are?" Hailey asked, placing a hand on her hip

"Of course i- woah!"

Jake slipped a bit, falling into Hailey and almost taking them both down to the ground. Quickly Hailey stopped them, then skated to the side, pulling Jake with her

"Alright, why won't you just admit it?" Hailey asked as she say Jake down on a bench. "You can't skate"

Jake sighed. "I just wanted to seem cool.." he said crossing his arms. Hailey shook her head and rolled her eyes, slightly smiling. "Jake, you don't have to lie about something if the outcome means it's gonna cause you pain"

Jake tried to stand up, wobbling again. He quickly sat back down. "U-Uh..."

"Yes?" Hailey said. Jake's face went a bit red, both from embarrassment and being flustered. "Would...you wanna teach me how to skate...? I mean, you're pretty good at it so-"

"Sure, why not." Hailey smiled while giving a small shrug. "It is fairly easy"

She helped Jake up and onto the rink. "Like you said, it's walking but with pizzazz"

She gave some slight jazz hands, which made Jake smile
