Confession: Dinner

"I miss this" Alex said suctioning inside the patients body.

"Hm, me too it's been a long time since we had surgery together" Meredith smiled under her mask.

"What's wrong with you?" Alex asked noticing she seemed bothered or tense, being her best friend for decades now he can tell if somethings off with her.

"Nothing..... just missed doing surgery with you" Meredith said hesitantly

"Mer" Alex breath out convincing her to tell him more

"He asked me out for dinner tonight" she said softly

"Who?"

"Deluca"

"Ohh so he finally told you" Alex said amused

"Yeah, on your wedding day at the hotel's rooftop" Meredith explained suturing the patient

"Well the feeling are mutual why do you seem bother about the dinner" Alex said confused

"I'll tell you later" she started "Close for me pleas" she said to the nurse stepping backwards and removing her gown and gloves.

"Finished this up and bring them in the ICU page me" Alex said following Meredith to the scrub room.

"So,are you gonna talk to me now" Alex started putting his hands on his side waist

"He's a fellow" she whispered, loud enough for Alex to hear her.

"Yeah,so what, I married a fellow, you got married to Derek when you're a resident, what's the difference?" Alex explained still confused

"I asked Bailey about his fellowship" she breath out watching her hands.

"And?"

"He can continue his 5 years fellowship but if he wants to leave and continue his attending career in other hospital he have to finished at least 3 years of his fellowship,and he's been here for almost 2 years" Meredith breath out whipping her hand with the surgical towel.

"Hmm, Jo's staying here" Alex said tilting he's head.

"I just don't know if I should entertain him because I knew he might leave after his fellowship, which is next year"  she rambled nervously

"Then don't entertain him, asked him about it" he started stepping closer to her "Look Mer, we've been through a lot especially you, we grew up together and you saw me got married and I want that for you too,I want you to be happy Mer and I'll always be there for you, because I'm your person" Alex smiled hugging her

"You're my person" Meredith repeated hugging him back.

Meredith entered the pitch black lab, seeing Andrew laying on the couch she quietly sat on the other couch observing him, asleep,or so she thought.

"Garfunkel!" she said smiling to herself.

"That's what you call me now, Garfunkel" he said making Meredith jump a little.

"Sorry to scare you" he chuckled

"I thought you were asleep" she said softly

"No I'm here all day, just had a consults" she started sitting on the couch "So you're still up for dinner?"

"Yeah sure" she said

"I'll cook, my place.... I'm sure you don't want me to meet your daughter yet" he chuckled getting up to the table fixing his things

"No,not yet" she chuckled back following him to the table.

They both went to Andrew's place.

"Wow, you live here alone?" Meredith said looking around his house.
