Eclipse

There is a curious darkness

In the geometry of Heaven,

A passing of stone and fire

In an empty silence that

Breaks both mind and faith.

Yet these grey clouds bring‎

Such all-consuming apathy

That barely even sparrows

Notice the morning dusk.

‎And as the majesty of such

Mighty celestial drama

Passes over unregarded,

Bears and dragons hide,

Demons are constrained,

And the Moon leaves his

Quarrelsome sister behind,

Challenging‎ the flowers that‎

Bloomed in their reunion

To blaze a little brighter.‎
