Midnight study

My mother's friend lived in the same building. Like at the distance of two flats.
She was a nerd.
So a night before exams she decided to sleep around 1-2am so that she could review her topics .
After packing her stuffs ,she heard a sound of female anklets so to look that who was wandering at that time , she moved to the balcony .
But what she saw made her feel horrible
A girl or better say a white figure appeared and then disappared.
Like she became numb to see , she didn't tell anyone in the house and got high fever due to the sight that she witnessed .
Her exam also didn't go well due to the constant thinking and sickness.
From then till she graduated she studied in the morning and that also in the most lighted room where her sister used to sleep because she became terrorised with the darkness and feared to sit in solitute.
