There was a large crowd of girls standing outside my door, the majority of them still in the process of getting ready. My eyes flickered around, noting that there was the same emotion displaying itself on everyone's faces: shock.

Much to my vexation, the first thing I heard was Elena Stanley's voice, accusing someone of making her drop the vase of flowers which had been given to her. Swiftly, I manoeuvred my way through the crowd, until I got to the centre, where the action was taking place. Immediately, I noted the glass which was at Elena's feet, along with the soaked carpet and the flowers which were strewn about. The next thing I became aware of was the mouth-watering scent of blood: vanilla and chocolate.

I looked up, to see warm amber eyes blink back at me. Their expressiveness stated her innocent and her bemusement about the events which had taken place. I felt my heart begin its frenzied activity, the one that it liked to indulge in whenever Lexi Storm passed through my mind - which, in the two short days I had known her, was often. As she stood in front of me, I couldn't help but take in her appearance. Her tall, slender body, her flawlessly tanned skin, her perfect features, her long hair, falling to her hips in loosely curly golden strands and, most of all, her eyes...

Those large, warm, glowing amber eyes, framed with the long, golden lashes.

She was so beautiful, it took my breath away. Something stirred within me, an emotion which I had never felt before. Along with that, there was something pushing into my brain, a piece of knowledge which seemed to elude me every time I tried to catch it.

I looked away from her swiftly, frightened of how long I had been watching her. She was only a student, someone who was interesting because I had only ever come across a Werewolf once before, a very long time ago. Once I got used to her presence, the feelings which surrounded me every time I saw her would disappear. She would become nothing but another student, who sat at the back of my classroom and pretended to listen into the lesson which was "boring". I glanced around at the faces of the crowd which had gathered some of them looking smug, some of them looking interested and some of them looking petrified.

"Would someone like to explain to me what is going on here?" I wondered, addressing no one in particular. Behind Lexi, I saw Skylar Star glower at Elena. Although I had already been aware of Lexi's innocence, that look made me aware of the fact that Elena was going to launch into a completely embellished story, one which would end up with Lexi getting into trouble while Elena was probably more to blame than ever. Glancing at the platinum blonde, I tried to tell if she had suffered any major injuries. Other than the slightly paler skin and the dark circles which had appeared under her eyes, I couldn't determine any serious injury she had obtained. Lexi must have been easy enough on her for her to heal fully and swiftly.

"I believe I can do that, sir. You see, I was just coming back from the medical ward when Lexi slammed into me. My shoulder is still a little sore from her earlier display of violence, so I dropped the vase. I'm so sorry. I promise I'll clean it up." Elena stated smoothly, her blue eyes dancing. She thought Lexi was going to get into deep, deep trouble.

"That's a complete lie!" Skylar gasped, "Elena walked into Lexi!"

My eyes flickered over to the indignant Vampire, marching forward so that she could protect the newest member of her group. My eyes flickered over to where Lexi stood, shaking her head at Skylar as if she was telling her to calm down.

Elena was glaring at her, piercing blue eyes turning icy as she realised that she might not have gotten away with it. Just as she was about to open her mouth, to splutter back a comment, I interceded.

"Alright, girls, I think it's time to calm down. Elena, you aren't supposed to handle glass so go downstairs and fetch the janitor, everyone else back to your rooms for now. Lexi, you can come with me."

Lexi looked at me for a long moment, without blinking those beautiful eyes. The moment seemed to last forever, and I was almost convinced that she would refuse. Then, she reached up and ran a hand through her long hair before she followed me along the corridor. I led her to the empty staffroom, just like I had on the night she had first arrived here, and motioned for her to sit down on one of the empty couches.

I could do nothing but watch as she gracefully strolled over to the exact spot she had sat yesterday morning and sat down, elegance oozing out of every miniscule movement which she made. Somewhere, in the back of my mind, a voice warned me to close my mouth before I started drooling. Was it even possible for someone to be that good looking?

As if feeling my eyes on her, her large orbs of amber flame turned to me expectantly, as she waited for whatever it was that I was about to say to her. My breath stilled in my throat, and I couldn't fathom why. There was something about her, something which I couldn't understand, that made me want to wrap my arms around her and never let go. In my chest, my heartbeat increased, pounding with the same dull rhythm of someone banging a drum. For a long while, I was rendered speechless. It seemed like I would be able to stand here, looking at the beautiful angel in front of me without ever becoming bored.

If eternity ended right now, then I would have been satisfied.

Then, I remembered that I was supposed to be her teacher and cleared my throat.

"Are you going to explain to me what happened?" I wondered, and I knew that I must have had an embarrassed and uncomfortable look on my face.

Lexi, on the other hand, didn't appear to notice. Due to this, I felt myself visibly relax. Silence descended once more, as I stood patiently waiting for her answer.

A few minutes ticked by, before her bright amber eyes were focused solely on me.

"Is there any point?" She wondered, her voice reminding me of a feline's purr. Why was it that she seemed so perfect in every way? Never before had I ever thought that someone like her could exist and now, here I stood, forever in awe of her.

"Why wouldn't there be?" I counteracted,

"Because you're only going to take one opinion into consideration."

"But that one opinion might be yours, so isn't worth it to at least try?"

Lexi looked at me for a long moment, amber eyes glowing in thought.

"She walked into me, I didn't touch her." Lexi replied.

All I could was look at her. Why was she so quick to think that no one would believe her? I knew Elena Stanley, I knew her family and, in all honesty, I believed that it was quite fair to say that they were the most scheming people you would ever come across. If they didn't win at something, they would be sure to take you down for it. Lexi made what Elena considered to be the mistake of beating her. However, as my eyes remained fixated on the breath-taking girl in front of me, I couldn't help but wonder if Elena Stanley had finally met her match...
