Splash!!!!💦💦 I woke up with a start drenched in water

               Grandma!!!!! I exclaimed in anger

The first rule was that you'll wake up by 5 every morning, what are you still doing in bed by 8 and you haven't even prayed. If you were to be married, will you be waking up when your husband is leaving for work????? She asked her yes too blazing with anger as she reprimanded me

I am sorry grandma, I said lowering my head in shame. I probably would make an awful wife and I haven't even prayed subh don't they say a prayerful wife makes a great wife?? Here I am finding it hard to complete my 5 daily prayers

Don't tell me sorry. Get down from that bed, go and pray, take the bed outside and dry it then meet me in the living room, she said leaving my room

I quickly ran to the bathroom to make wudhu before going to pray.

'_'_'_'_'

I am here grandma, I said after I was done doing everything she asked me

Good the lesson you'll learn today is how to make tuwo which will also mark the end of your cooking lessons and you taking over the kitchen work as from today, she said chewing her kola

             Ma!!!!! I exclaimed flabbergasted
I can't possibly handle the kitchen alone

If I slap you from where I am sitting, your sense will come back. Do I look like am playing, she said glaring at me

What have I done to this woman, I thought she loved me. I turn to my mom who was sitting bin the living room for help and found her trying to hold her laugh. She won't help either her wish is finally coming true after all how I wish Dad was home. I groaned

When you are through, go and put a pot of water on the fire, grandma said turning away from me

But I haven't even had breakfast yet, I complained

That would be your breakfast. who do you expect to be cooking for you?? She said

Arrrgh!! I groaned in frustration as I walked to the kitchen. There is 100 % possibility this thing would come out bad. How does she expect me to eat what isn't well cooked?? I groaned again as I slouched in frustration

After another torturous 30 minutes, the tuwo was already done and if I were to say so myself it didn't come out very bad except a few lumps here and there. Grandma said it'll get better if I continue cooking which brings us back to the stupid everyday cooking duty.

It is an understatement to say that my mum is enjoying this. Finally someone gets to shut me up and actually teach me stuff and this training has gotten my grandma off her back. She's actually having field time.

I am going to start learning other stuffs like how to cars for the house and dressing up and how to tie scarfs which I'll learn from my mum cos I suck at that .  Like why do I have to dress up at home when I can actually wear sweats. My grandma is going overboard this time. I started walking to my room to sleep cos am very tired. This marriage stuff is really draining.

                               ######
It's been over two months since we started this marriage lessons and I can proudly say I am ready to get married and my mum and Grandma are starting to get along a bit more than before and I am pretty sure it's because they got something they both agree on which is training me to be the perfect bride.

A match has been found for me. He's the son of my father's friend. A fair guy, cute too. He's a doctor and lives in Niger while we stay in Abuja. The distance isn't Soo much but after a lot of assurance from my parents and grandma, I accepted the guy. His name is Kabir, Kabir Yasir.

He's coming to see me today, the first time we'll actually meet and am over nervous. I dressed up in a pale blue simple dress. The type that'll give me breathing space cos there'll be lots of tension and nervousness on my part today.

He's here, my mum said as she opened my room door

I'll be there soon, I said as I hurriedly put finishing touches to my dressing before examining myself in front of the mirror. I sprayed my perfume before I proceeded to the living room.

As I entered the living, he raised his eyes immediately to meet mine. He's so cute . With his chubby form, he looked like and adorable baby. I smiled a bit before greeting him.

How are you? He asked in his small voice. God I am already crushing he's so adorable.

I am fine thank you, how are you too and the trip to Abuja? I asked trying to keep my nervousness down

Alhamdulillah, he replied. Can we go now, he asked

Sure, I replied as I stood after him and we proceeded to the door.

So we ended up visiting a park taking tons of ice cream and sugar. We also got to know each other well. He's 25 and wishes to get married as soon as possible. I dunno what the rush is for but I don't think I care either. He's had 6 girlfriends before and few flings. Quite a Playboy but isn't it normal for guys. Anyways everything is going perfect. Too perfect if I may add.
He asked the wedding to be in 2 months which I don't have a problem with since my parents already informed me about it before I mean why prolong everything when we'll still do it. I am not a fan of waiting for long before doing stuffs so it goes well but if someone had informed me the stress that comes with preparing for a wedding, I won't even think of agreeing to that little time.
