It started off with yellin'. My old man screamin' at me 'cause I ain't shit. Hittin' me, slappin' me around. Then he died at the bottom of a bottle. I wasn't gonna be like that. I was better. And I showed him.

Got in with these guys, said they'd show me the ladder if I'd learn it.

That was years ago. Now I run the show.

Whiskey whispered in my ear the whole way up.
