chapter 6

I didn't celebrate Christmas but sometimes we get invited to celebrate it by my aunt's friends so, free food!

I tried my best to write a chapter while currently having author's block, therefore i apologize that it's crappy)

Neo flew away from the princes and princess after bidding them goodbye and made his way towards the city of Lumiere. He watch the city from the sky and saw different races greeting and laughing together, there's even a family of mixbreeds, living happily.

Neo smile in relief. All his hard work of uniting the races had paid off, and the result of it is peace and harmony. Elly cheers while sitting on his right shoulder.

Then he saw a group of children made from different races playing together. They ran around the city, laughing as they create harmless mischief around them.

The children were in so much fun that they didn't see the workers lifting a huge piano  and accidentally bumped into them, causing the worker to lose their balance and losing the grip of the piano.

The piano is falling into the ground in high speed towards the children. The people around them gasped in fright, no one is fast enough to react.

Until a white figure flash in front of them.

The children that was supposed to feel the pain of the piano smashing them didn't feel anything. They slowly open their eyes and gasp in amazement.

A young man in white clothing, and a pair of transparent wings that only the children are able to see, standing before them. His hand was held out and the piano is floating on the air, his transparent wings are protecting the children. And a green little fairy is flying next to him.

The workers and the people around him hurriedly thank him for rescue the children. The children was pull into a hug by their parents and got lightly scolded.

After that, the children ran back to the young man that rescued them.

The young man slowly put the piano on the ground and face the children. He crounch down to their level and smile.

"Be careful when you're playing next time, okay?", he said with a beautiful smile. Elly is scolding them but all they could hear is soft jingling bells

The children nod dumbly with sparkling eyes. One of then spoke out, " what's your name, white angel? "

The young man reply with a smile on his face, "I'm Neo, I'm not an angel. And this is my friend, Elly"

"Wahh I've never seen a fairy before. So pretty" a little girl said.

"Are you a goddess? ", a little boy asked.

"Nope", Neo said and shook his head in denial.

"Then... What are you? ", they ask again.

Neo put his index finger on his lips, "can you keep a secret? "

The children look at each other, seeming as if asking each other if they can keep a secret and said, "yes! "

Neo chuckles, "I'm a celestial"

"What's the difference between an angel and a celestial? ", they asked.

" Well you see, angels are the messengers of the god and goddess. Celestial is a holy being that were of a higher position, acting as the hand and feet of the god and goddess", Neo explain to the naive children. (A/N: the celestial is a thing that i made up, so don't believe it :p)

The children gasped in amazement, "are you here to protect us? "

Neo nodded in answer. The children laugh happily and invite Neo to play together with them, which he comply. Elly chuckles as she joined them.

The children ran around, carefully this time, with Neo trying to catch them. Then they came across a street musicians and dance along the music.

They formed a big circle while holding each other's hands and dance in a circle.

They play around until the children was called by their parents for lunch, and the children whine to refuse as they want to play more with Neo, "Nooo we want to play more with Neo!"

Neo sigh helplessly, "you have to go, and I can't be here forever. "

The children let out their tears pitifully, "but you said you were supposed to protect us! "

"Yes, you are right. But there are still people out there that need me to protect them too, just like how i protect you", Neo said as he patted their heads.

The children sniffed and nodded in understanding. They're about to leave, but Neo call out them, "wait for a moment."

They stopped and get closer to Neo. He motion them to form a circle and held each other's hand. Then he close his eyes and start chanting.

Blue and white lights dancing around them and Elly fly in front of them, her wings starts glowing. The children watch in amazement.

At the end of Neo's chanting, he mutter, "may these children be protected from harm and disasters". And the light engulfs them.

The lights embrace them like a blanket and let out a comfortable warmth before disappearing.

Neo open back his eyes and smile towards them, " you will be safe from now on. Remember to protect each other and your loved one. You have a bright future ahead of you". He said before he let go of their hands and walk away with Elly sitting back on his right shoulder.

The children stayed in their position and watch Neo in amazement

Neo walk around the city and smile brightly. Everyone is happy and accept all kind of loves with no racists shouting about how they stains their bloodlines.

This is the era of freedom.

Neo look at some shops and try out different kinds of foods together with Elly. She unknowingly collect some money that she come across while finding flowers and berries when he was asleep.

"What should we do next, Elly?" Neo ask tye little fairy after finishing his strawberry tart. Elly held her chin and think what they should do. She got lots if things she wanted to do with Neo since they were very busy uniting the races thousands years ago. Now that the world is in peace, they have all the time in the world to do everything they want.

"Let's visit the Humans Kingdom!  I heard that they made the most delicious foods in the whole kingdoms! " Elly said in excitement as she fly in front of Neo.

Neo chuckles in amusement. He's about to spread out his wings to fly to their next destination before someone called out his name, "Neo!"

He turn around and saw the princes and princess that he met earlier. It wasn't surprising to meet them here since this is the place that he teleported them to.

He greet them with a smile, "nice to see you again, Your Highnesses. "

The princess of Fairies, Anne, then said to him, "no need for formality, just call us by our name. "

Neo didn't object and just nodded. Elly waves to them and the prince of Humans, Alistair, wave back. The prince's face still have that stoic expression but if you look closely, you will notice that his expression soften a bit.

"It's not a surprise to see you here. Were you going somewhere, Neo? ",

"I intent to go to the Humans Kingdom. Elly said it was a place full of appetizing dishes"

"Well, she's right. I went there often just to taste the foods and it's really delicious"

"Oh! How about we travel there together? We already bought all the materials so we can move now. What do you think? "

Neo didn't really mind the additions, so he agreed to the suggestion
