Its been 2 weeks now and Imani hasn't woken up. We were now allowed to enter her room, but it was the same as watching her from outside, the only difference was that this time I could touch her. I sat beside her every night, I couldn't see her during the day because I had go sort my companies out. I made sure that as soon as I was done with work, I headed straight to the hospital.
"Please wake up, I'm sorry Imani". I whispered to her, as I hold her hand and lay my head next to it.
"This is all my fault, please come back to me. Salang haeyo Imani". As I said, a tear drop I never knew I had, rolled down my face and landed on Imani's hand. I made sure that every night, when I came to visit her, to tell her how much I love her. I wouldn't stop telling her that till the day I die.
"You love me?" , a weak voice said. I quickly looked up, to see Imani staring at me with watery eyes. Thank the heavens she's awake.
"You're awake", as I said to her, she tried to sit up but was struggling, so I helped her. As gently as I could, I pulled her up and helped her.
"Yah, neoneun naleul salanghanda?" She said.
Translation: You love me?
"Geulae salanghae Imani", I said, looking at her right in the eye.
Translation: Yes I love you Imani.
"Lies, don't you ever get tired of the lies Kane?"
"Imani please listen to me I-"
"Please leave" she cut me off and tears started to fall from her face. I got out of the room and called Khalani.
"Sup Kane".
"Imani is awake".
"What, I'm on my way", I could hear Jin growl from the other side of the line, I guess they've made it official.
"Did she say anything?"
"She doesn't want to talk to me, she told me to get out". Khalani already knows about the situation that happened the day Imani was taken, I'm guessing Jin told her or Amari. I wasn't really bothered about it, even though her and Naomi gave me a very intense lecture about me hurting Imani. It did pay off in the end, because I got to find out a lot of things about Imani, that's how I knew she hated coffee.
