&rew sat on a bench in the void. he wasn't very concerned with this though, because the void offered him ice cream. not just ice cream, but his FAVORITE FLAVOR of ice cream. it was really good

man, dreams were weird. a second ago he was in a magic flower field and now hes in a void?????: like ahaha what.

oh yeah, he was aware he was in a dream, he just didn't care enough to force his mind to make the dream different. he was scared everytime he thought about something bad it would happen in the drea- oh god dammit

anrews ice cream dissapeared into thin air and soon he was falling into the bottomless pit of despair

he tries to scream but no sound comes out. he tries to tell his mind to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS but it refuses

he woke up from that awful feeling you get while dreaming that feels like you're about to trip and fall

"andrew???????:" joe had walked into the kitchen "wtf its like 3 am why are you up so late. and why are you on the floor"

"i could ask you the same thing" andrew squinted at the hawlster "and i just had a bad dream...it's nothing bad."

"mhm" joe mhm'd as he grabbed a can of tomato sauce from the cabinet " i am gonna make fried chicken"

andrew gave him a confused look "at 3 am?? and with tomato sauce?"

"its a refined taste" joe stated simply "y,.you wouldn't understand" he turned his head to the countertop and put the tomato sauce down

"yknow what?? im just. not gonna question it" andrew gave up. it WAS joe hawley after all. nothing made sense with him.

"yeah thats right. cower in fear you simpleton baker boy." joe scowled

andrew looked away and tried not to be offended, for the sake of being the peace keeper

andrew looked away and tried not to be offended, for the sake of being the peace keeper. but his feelings were, in fact, hurt. he squeezed his eyes shut and then got up to walk back to room

or well, sort of room. they didn't have enough rooms for all five of them, so they just carved a hole in the wall of the storage closet and made it into andrews room. he tried not to be jealous of the others having the luxury of having a door, but sometimes it'd get to him and he'd sleep on the couch instead.

he scrambled up into his "bed" (which was more like a green dog bed tbh) and shut his eyes, curling up and trying to push away all his bad thoughts

;;

it had been a peaceful night. the most peaceful rob had gotten in a while.

but his body seemed to refuse to give him a single second more sleep than he needed, and soon enough, he was forced awake at 5 a fuckin m, the rising sun forcing its way into robs vision

ross was still asleep peacefully in his bed. rob smiled. it made him happy to see ross happy. although his situation here was tricky. what would he do while waiting for ross to wake up? just sit there? it was like waking up first at a sleepover

he sat there for a second, staring at the floor. when ross talked about the "neverending loneliness", maybe this was what he meant.

he spotted a pile of sticky notes and a pen. he'd atleast have to write a note before he left.

and so, he returned home. but he felt...happy. yeah, he felt happy. maybe spending time with ross was the key.

maybe things were looking up for once
