24: Cloaked

Kai POV:

It was almost 2pm and I made my way to Jo and Ric's apartment and knocked on the door

I was greeted by Ric who looked annoyed that I was here

"What are you doing here now" he asks and before I can answer with a snarky comeback my sister shows up 

Hey baby bump was a bit more visible now

"Ric its ok I invited him" Jo said and Ric made a sour face 

"Why'd you invite him?" he asked as if I wasn't standing right there

"I'll tell you later just let him in" she says and Ric groans before moving aside 

I try to go inside but the invisible barrier stops me and Ric's eyes grow wide

"Wait he's a-"

"Vampire? yes we'll explain as soon as you let me in" I cut him off and he rolls his eyes but complies 

"You can come in"

I grin and step inside to see Liv in the living room

"Hey sis" I say and she rolls her eyes 

Looks like she's still pissed at me, I thought the dinner the other day made her a little nicer but I guess not

Soon Ric and Jo come in the room as well and Ric starts talking

"Ok someone tell me how Kai is dead or a vampire and how are Jo and Liv alive if he's technically dead" he says

"Ok so I didn't want to tell you but dad unlinked Kai with the coven and killed him but he had Andra's blood in him so he's a heretic now and dad took back the coven and there is a coven meeting today that we will attend cloaked so we can find out what dad is planning so we can do something about him unjustly taking backing the coven" she explains 

Ric looked shocked "wow I hate Kai but killing his own son was going too far and also where is Andra she's always with you" he says and I scratch my neck awkwardly, not wanting to talk about that right now

"Well?" Jo asked

"Were taking a break" I mumble

"What? why?!" Liv asks 

"I think I'm gonna go-" Ric says before making his way out of the room

"Can we not talk about this righ-" I start but Liv cuts me off

"Nope we are gonna talk about it now who in their right mind would break up with her I mean despite being a super powerful tribrid she was so sweet and so in love with you! Unless- did she break up with you?" she asks and my eyes widen

"Was it that obvious?" I ask

"Was what obvious?"

"That she was in love with me"

"Yes! are you blind?"

"Ok so uh when dad killed me she was also there and she was the one that was supposed to die, he had the white oak but she attacked him before he could stab her so his men staked me" I explain and my sisters look at me, waiting for me to get to the part when we broke up

"And I just thought that being with me puts her in danger and it would be best if we broke up?" I say and Jo rolls her eyes

"Oh my god your an idiot" Liv says

"Kai she's an original tribrid, she's in danger every moment of the day being with you doesn't make it any worse, our dad has been trying to kill her before you were even born" Jo says
