Ever since I met Joshua, I haven't been alright to say the least. He has always been on my mind. And the fact that he asked to be friends even surprises me because no one has ever been so nice to me. I'm on my way to school in hopes of meeting and talking with him. Thankfully, I meet him at the school entrance as he alights from his dad's car and wait a little to say hi.
"Hi Josh, how are you doing?" I ask as soon as he sees me
"Hey Liz, how are you, how was you night?" He replies
"It was good, let's go to class together." I say to him
"Emmm, okay,let's go." He agrees
We walk to class and talk about random things.
Class goes on and I can't look anywhere but Joshua's face causing all the teacher's saying to sound like bla bla bla to me. He notices and winks at me and I turn red as tomato. He smiles and continues listening to what the teacher is saying and class ends later with me putting my head on the table and the teacher punishing me.
After school, I see Tessa at the school hallway going out and call out to her
"Tessa!!! Wait up". I shout enough for her to hear me
"Heyy Liz" She answers
"Let's have a sleepover tonight at my house." I say hoping that she agrees
"Okay,I'll just call my mum and tell her." She agrees and I mentally fist bump myself.
We both wait outside at the parking lot for my mum to come and discuss about boys as we do. Few minutes later, we hear my mum's car horn and get into the car when she parks.
We get home and I immediately drag Tessa to my room in order to fill her all the deeds
"Dude, I can confidently tell you that I am in love with Joshua. I couldn't stop looking at him during class today." I excitedly tell my best friend
"Woah,come down, do you think I don't know that." She tells me and rolls her eyes
"But do you think he'll like me?" I ask sincerely
"He's a fool not to." She smiles and assures me
"Okay, if you say so." I say as her words out me at ease.
"So let's get ice cream from the refrigerator and some blankets and move to the living room." She tells me as she leans forward to pack a blanket
We move to the living room and plat truth dare and also watch some Netflix movies and fall asleep on the couch
The next day comes and I am beaming with joy as I get to see Joshua again.
"Hey,Joshua." I say as I meet him in the school hallway on his way to class
"Hey Liz." He smiles at me
The captain of the football team, Bryan passes the hallway and sees us talking and squeezes his face in disgust. He walks up to us and speaks to Joshua
"Joshua, what are you doing talking to this rat over here?" He asks him
"Nothing, she's actually pestering me and I was actually about telling her off." Joshua says, shocking me.
"What!!!." I say,shocked
"What? Am I lieing about that?" He asks me and tears well up in my eyes but I force them back
"Yes, you are." I shout back obviously hurt
Ryan just stands there and looks at both of us for a while before talking to me
"Look, rat, you don't deserve someone like him. I mean, look at this guy,he's gold. So leave the guy alone and go to hell." Ryan says with disgust written all over his face
I run out of the hallway with tears in my eyes as I regret trusting Joshua in the first place.
