“thats your cue carc!” joan says
carci hummed lightly as she summoned her aura, the octopus grabed Vincent and held him still.
“great lets speed this up catherine mind removing the dagger?”
“ARAWAN” vincent said
Arawan winced pressing his back as close to the cold concrete as he could. catherine summon a tentacle which removed the dagger from carci’s leg which instantly started to bleed a whole lot more.
“ew” catherine suttered, he hands were free and he cut her feet free.
“ouch” carci says
“what? blood! your blood!” catherien says
“we can discuss this later” joan says
onec free carci put her hair up and faced vincent. he struggled against the octopus
“yeah good luck with that” carci says
“this place is gonna blow fo catherine please?” joan says
“down here’s the only place that wont blow” vincent says
“the i guess we best run” carci says
“does malachi know you exist?” vincent asks
“who?” carci says
“oh? guess you dont he exists, my mistake then” he says
“mh, sounds like typical villain crap to me”
“have you ever wondered why people who know jacklyn and mostly people who want the bounty on her head are almost always going for you?” he asks
carci raised a brow. she had, actually. she hadn't actually thought about it at all.
“carci lets go” jaon says
“she plays a bigger role in you life than you think and i have to say, she doesnt care about you”
“why would it matter if she cared?” carci asked
“carci” joan said
“because she’s your-” he was interrupted by joan punching him hard across the face
“shut you fucking mouth before i sew it shut” joan says
“lets go”
carci was hesitant. what was he going to say? she shook her head and they ran up some stairs and out the building. they made it past many counselors and down the dirt road that lead to the actually paved road. after a moment the camp went boom. carci winced and catherine full body flinched. they stood there for a moment completely perplexed by the events that just went down.
“i never got my snack” carci says breaking the silence
catherine started laughing and joan looked at her pained.
“really? a camp expodes with like 50 kids in it, you got dragged down concreate stairs, tied to a chair and stabbed anf your main concern and that you never got a snack even though have had a full meal since you wanted a snack?” joan says
“yeah” Carci says sollemly
“we never investiated that ghost” catherine says
“well next time it’ll be a full on ghost town” carci says
“true that”
“i- you two clearly have very different priorities”
“meh” carci shruggs scrolling through the contacts on her watch
she found bill’s contact and slid her finger up the screen projecting the screen showing a call screen. it rings a few times and carci has to try a few times before a tired Bill picks up
“what?” he asks
“uh we blew an entire summer camp just thought you would want to know byyye” carci says quickly then hung up
“your parents are gonna pick us up right?”
“yeah”
after a bit of waiting joan’sparents picked them up.
“why is there smoke?” Alex sighs
“we blew up the summer camp” carci says
“JOAN!” her mom said as the car started moving again
“MOM IT WASNT-”
“JOAN DO YOU REALIZE…” her mom started yelling at her in greek
carci awkwardly played snake on her watch and catherine made shapes in the fog on the window as the two yelled at each other in greek.
“MOM VICENT RIGGED THE SUMMER CAMP AGES AGO AND WAS GOING TO SET IT OFF ANYWAY! CARCI USED HER AURA TO HELP US GET OUT OF HERE WHICH TRIGGERED IT! IT WAS NOT AT ALL MY FAULT!” Joan eventually yells over her
“joan, are you ok? are you hurt?” Alex asks
“yeah im fine. im not irriversably hurt, just a few scratches and now a sore throat”
