TW: Abuse.

I lie on my bed. Bored.
My older sister Victoria was practicing her marriage vows with Victor.
He's quite alright but he sounded nervous.
So I went downstairs to watch them.
But I got distracted by the piano.
It was only for display but I couldn't help to adore it. I took a couple classes in college but my parents got mad.
The keys were cold under my fingers.
The rhythm of für elise  escaped them.

"You play?"
"*gasp* Victor! You scared me!"
He sat beside me.
"Sorry. Are you a relative?"
"No... yes actually." He looked confused. "What I mean is I'm Victoria's little sister."

"So that makes you my future sister-in-law?"
"Yup."
"Why does know one know about you? No one has ever seen you in town."
"I was kept away. I'm not actually supposed to be talking to you. I'm sorry." I went up to walk away but his hand grabbed my wrist.

He was cold. But I blushed at his touch.
"Please stay."
"How improper!!" I heard someone yell.
"Uhm I'm sorry mother I'll go back up stairs." I apologized and ran upstairs. The words went through the walls.

"You shouldn't have been with my daughter."
"I'm sorry ma'am I needed a break from the vows."
"Fine. Breaks over. Go."

Victor once again stuttered at the vows.
"Y/n!! Get down here immediately!" I heard father yell.
"Coming father." I went down stairs.
"Yes father?" I asked.

"I want you to practice upstairs with Victor and the priest."
"Yes sir."
We took everything upstairs.
I started walking up.

"Okay. Be more calm. Okay Victor?"
"R-right."
"Okay from the top." The priest started. "With this hand,"

"With this hand..."
"I will lift your sorrows."
"I will lift your sorrows..."
"Your cup will never empty,"
"Your cup will never empty...."
"For I-"
"For I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way in darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine."
He made eye contact the whole time.

"Wonderful. Mr.Van Dort." The priest complimented.
"I must go." I ran to my bedroom and closed the door.
Wow. I flopped on my bed.
A knock came up two hours later.

"Who is it?" I asked slightly angered.
"It's me." It was Victoria's voice.
"Come in." I sighed.
"So how'd it go?" She sat beside me on my bed.
"Oh come on. I know you heard."

"Yes I did. I suppose I'm just, confused."
"Why?" I sat up.
"Well. He did perfect with you."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I think... I think he likes you."
"Impossible. We've never actually met."
"The piano?"
"Maybe...."

Another knock came.
"Come in." Victoria yelled.
"no." I whispered.
Victor came in.
"Im sorry I really must get this corset off." Victoria got up and left.

"May I?" He gestured sitting on the bed.
I nodded.
"You haven't spoken a word to me since the practice." He mentioned.
I looked down.

"Talk to me." He lifted up my chin with his finger.
I'm not much of a romantic person but,
I made eye contact with him. His eyes were a dark brown, beautiful, and warm.
"I-uhm-I, ahem. I wanted to know why you practiced perfectly with me."
He let go of my chin and looked down.

I could see a small pink come upon his pale cheeks.
"I don't know. I felt more comfortable with... you." His cheeks became pinker.
"Do you love her?" I asked him.
"What?" He looked at me.
"Victoria. Do you love her?"
"N-no. I do not."
"She's always wanted to marry for love. Someone she could grow old with. Someone who understands her."

"That's why I can't marry her. I don't love her. I barely understand her. But you..."
"What?"
"What are you doing?!" Victors mother came in.
Victor got up.
"I'm sorry mother. I was just giving my thanks to miss y/n."

"Yeah right. Get up." Vicky followed her down.

Time skip: night:

Every one was now asleep.
I was still up writing at my desk.
"What do you think you were doing today?" My father came in yelling.
"I'm sorry father. But what are you talking about?"
"I think you know exactly what I'm talking about!" He pulled me away from my desk and threw me on my bed.
"I'm sorry father."

"Sorry is not enough!!" His hand hit against my face leaving a red mark. "Stay away! From! Victor!"

I ran out of my room.
Mother came up to my room.
"What's happened?" She asked tired. I was already downstairs.
"She's- r-running!" Father pretended to cry.
"So then go after her." I heard Victoria say.
"I can't. She threatened to kill herself id we came after her." He pretended.

I ran as fast as I could.
But of course I ran into someone.
I tried to keep running but someone held my wrist. I looked to meet a family pair of eyes.

"V-Victor?"
"Y/n? Is it you. Come into the light with me."
It was dark and we were in the woods.
"No!" He pulled me into the moonlight.
He gasped. I looked down.
"W-what happened?!" He noticed the welt on my face.

"It's nothing."
"It most certainly is not nothing!" He sounded mad.
"Look. I shouldn't be talking to you. Father wouldn't like it." I mumbled.
"Did he do this to you?" He asked.
I nodded.
He traced the mark and I winced.
"Sorry." He apologized.

His fingers traced to my chin.
Once again he lifted it up.
But his lips pressed against mine.
Cold lips but warm touch.
I kissed him back.

"I should've told you... I love you y/n."
"I love you too."

"There you are!" Victoria came panting.
"Victoria! What are you doing?"
"I know a liar when I hear one. Fathers a liar. He's out looking for you two! Run."
"But-" Victor started.
"Go!" She yelled.

Victor and I ended up getting married in secret. We now have two lovely daughters. I haven't heard from anyone other than Victoria from our family. She got married too. To a man she loved who also happened to have a lot of money. So she was happy. I was happy. But most of all,

Victor was happy.
