Town square

"hey Luke" I say as me and Rory walk to the living room.

"oh uh hey Brooke, hey Rory" he says.

Mom and Luke look back down at a large paper.

"So um what are you guys looking at?" Rory asks.

"Oh were looking at some blueprints of the house with extra things." Mom answers.

"why?" I squint my eyes.

"well we are gonna have some construction done to the house to make it bigger since Luke will be living here too once we get married" Mom says.

"Yep, Tom is coming over tomorrow" Luke adds.

I raise my eyebrows.

"Well that must be pretty short notice for him"  I say.

"no, we started working on this two weeks ago" Luke corrects.

to mom slowly.

"oh, you didn't tell them" look guesses.

"yeah.." mom replies.

"well it's okay" Rory says trying to brighten the mood.

"do you guys wanna do movie night later?" I ask knowing it would make mom happy.

"YES!" Mom yells.

"alright well me and Rory will go do whatever for a while, and then at 7:15 sharp we all meet at Doose's get junk food, go to the video store and, order a pizza" I suggest.

Everyone agrees.

I leave the house start walking to the town square.

As I'm passing miss patty's dance studio she stops me to talk.

"Hey Brooke! How are you and Rory doing?" She asks.

"oh we're doing fine, what about you?" I reply with a smile.

"Oh I'm doing great hon, so where you headed?" She says.

"well I'm heading to town square to do some studying" I answer.

"oh well I will leave you to it then honey" She says walking back inside her place.

I keep walking to the square.

Once I finally get there I find a bench and sit down spreading my books, and binders all over the place.

"well hey there stranger" I hear a voice say.

I look up from all of my stuff and see my ex- boyfriend Dean.

"Dean!" I shout with a gasp.

I step over everything an hug him.

Ever since me and Dean broke up we have always been friends and we have supported each other through everything.

"So how have you been I feel like we haven't talked in forever!" I say pulling away from the hug.

"well I've been good, and do has Lindsay" he replies smiling.

"You need to find a man so we can go on a double date!"

"or woman.. but nobody ever strikes my eye anymore" I say.

"but there is this one boy his name is Logan we are just friends but everyone.. LITERALLY EVERYONE thinks we're going out and I hate him, like and notice how I said 'going out' instead of 'dating'? Well it's because he doesn't make commitments! He just messed with her and then throws her away!" I rant.

"did he do any of that to you?" Dean asks concerned.

"Oh hell no" I reply.

"well call me if you ever need to rant about anything again, but I need to get going I promised Lindsay I would go to doose's" Dean sighs.

"Alright, it was good to see you" I smile as he walks away.

I finish studying until it's time to meet everyone outside dooses.
