Six months later...
The morning sun crept over the horizon. Castle RedCrest was silent as all of its inhabitants slept soundly.
After the night her granddaughter was born, Eleanor had reclaimed the throne as soon as possible. She immediately abolished any and all archaic rules, including those that prohibited a widowed King or Queen from taking another companion.
Today, the Queen lay in bed next to her new partner. Orion wrapped his arms around Eleanor as they slumbered peacefully together. Ray, the new Queen's guard, stood proudly at his post outside the Queen's bedroom.
Falkner, inspired by Eleanor's boldness, admitted her true feelings to Talbot. Sharing one room wasn't practical, given the amount of tools Talbot kept around, so Falkner and Talbot settled on two, adjoining rooms at the castle.
Talbot spend his days not only healing and caring for the ill, but also training Tilda so once he retired, she could take over as physician in residence.
The seven dwarfs all slept in their seven beds at the castle. Even though they were offered a room each, they preferred their old dormitory arrangement of all sleeping in the same room, together.
Each day they continued to mine for jewels. It was, after all, their true passion.
Rose wanted to be a part of Lavender Blue's life. Floran saw the way she played with Lavender, cared for Lavender and loved Lavender. So Floran, naturally, fell completely in love with Rose.
He and Rose were in no hurry to take over the throne. For now, they lay in bed, sound asleep with their sweet, little Lavender Blue close by, in her cradle.
Lavender Blue gurgled as she woke. A little bird landed on the window sill, tweeting ever so gently.
Lavender had dark hair, just like Snow. She had soft, white skin, just like Snow. And her eyes glowed pink.
Just like Snow.
