Chapter 16 Goodbye

(Red's POV)

After I left, Julian study, I made my way towards my bedroom

Before I got up the stairs, I found Karen waiting outside of my door

My heart instantly started pounding

"Karen" I whispered

"We need to talk" she said sternly

I took a deep breath and nodded

I walked over to my bedroom door and opened it

She walked in after me and then closed the door behind her

(Julian's POV)

After Red left, I set out to look for Karen

I had to talk to her and apoligize for what I had said to her

I didn't regret it, I was right to do so

Red is the Luna and nothing is going to change that

Not even Karen

(Red's POV)

"The alpha was looking for you" I said, trying to break the unconfertable silence

"I'll find him" she said, sternly

"Karen-" I started

"Luna" she interrupted me

"I'm sorry?" I asked her

"I'm your Luna, refer to me as so" she told me

I tried to surpress my erge to growl at her

She was nothing in the pack, compared to me

I was the true Luna

She should be bowing down to me, but I couldn't say anything, so I just nodded

"Luna" I said, clamping my teeth shut

"I want you to leave" she said bluntly

"What?" I asked her

"Leave...you aren't officially part of this pack yet, but this is my home and I no longer want you in it. I'm sure you can understand, that I am a mother that wants I protect her family" she told me

I opened my mouth to try and defend myself, but she just continued

"A home is a place the ones in it, can feel safe and protected. My family and I can't live here and feel safe, with you in it" she told me

I looked into her eyes and knew she was right

Her family wasn't safe, as long as I was here

"Please, pack your things and leave tonight" she told me

"Tonight is the alpha's birthday party" I told her

"Exactly, it will be perfect for you to sneak out. there will be too many people here to realize your absence" she told me

"What about my sister" I asked

"She has done nothing wrong" Karen told me

"So she can stay?" I asked her

Karen nodded her head

"Alright, but I'm going to the party" I told her

"What?" She asked me

"Jul- Alpha Julian has been nothing but kind to me. I want to say good bye....even if he doesn't know it's a goodbye" I told her

She looked into my eyes and then turned to the side

"Very well" she said and then walked out of my room.

Maybe staying long enough to say goodbye wasn't a good idea

What if I told Julian?

No...I could, he would try to convince me to stay
