"The child is safe, but Yerein is wounded" Officer Nico reported to captain Kamzan.Although the information was not relevant anymore to captain Kamzan because he already saw all the wounds.
"Of course officer Nico what do you expect she hugged the grenade,did you think she would survive without injury?"captain Kamzan answered with sarcasm and exaggeration.Yerein didn't hug the grenade in fact she ran away from it but she failed to run fast that's why the grenade still reached them.
"I am just shocked to see what she did" Officer Maloy butted in" so even a terrorist could care and save a child?" he wondered with his eyes full of queries.
"Maybe it reminded her of her son," officer Malina answered. She always linked everything to Yerein's case even though it was obvious it had nothing to do with it.
"Why everyone is here, officer Nico?" The captain asked in an irritated tone while eyeing everyone standing behind him,they were all in the balcony as if they were like a boy band who was going to shoot their new album
"Well we just want to tell you that we can go back now to our camp ,so yeah they are here to get our things"Officer Nico explained the sudden commotion
"Then get the things and leave, I don't need brainstorming here"captain Kamzan spoke with an annoyed tone, he didn't want to talk openly about the explosion, he noticed something was not right and something was suspicious.

Two days had passed and they were all settled and returned to their camp. Officer Nico was hanging out in captain Kamzan's office ,he was helping him to set up all the things again. After they finished what they were doing, Captain Kamzan got Yerein's file inside his bag ,a signal that he was planning to interrogate her again.
"Captain, Yerein's wounds are not healed yet" Officer Nico spoke when he noticed that Kamzan was going to Yerein's cell.
He knew that what he was going to say might cause tide to the calm sea,but he needed to protect Yerein,this was his promise to Fragya.
"Why are you telling me this?" Kamzan asked officer Nico. This officer was really starting to test his power and authority. Yes they were buddies, but when it came to their duties,the command must come from the captain,always.
" Sometimes your concern is not just a concern for a human but a concern for a lover" captain Kamzan continued his lecture to officer Nico, amazed by the fact that he hit the flesh of officer Nico's spine.
"her best friend trusted her to me" Officer Nico answered honestly,he didn't want to lie to his buddy.
"tell your friend that this is a soldier's house not an orphanage,in here, we are tasked to punish the accused not to tolerate" the captain slowly and clearly explained.
"Even if her friend would not tell me,don't you think it's inhumane to whip her while she is still suffering from fresh wounds?" Officer Nico was not done yet with her heartfelt speech and he kept on talking" captain,nurse Pam told me that her back is becoming worst and worst,and all those scars might become permanent ,are you planning to continue this torture to her?"
"Tell her to tell the truth to cease her punishment then,that's the only way to escape her cruel fate. She didn't deserve pity nor love, so stop convincing me because I assure you killing innocent people is much worse than my punishment to her"captain Kamzan stated,he explained it carefully to officer Nico. He wanted to convince himself that he was doing the right thing, and he was taking the right decision.
"When she...she saved the child did you even wonder why? There are many soldiers nearer to the child's place but no one attempted to do that, do you believe that every human will do that?"Officer Nico threw the question of the century which made the captain paused and thought for a good answer.
"Nico what you have forgotten here is she is a suicide bomber,she hugs bomb,she is always willing to explode herself"captain Kamzan gave a good logic this time. He wondered why officer Nico couldn't give up on persuading him.
"Who told you that she did that?"officer Nico dared to argue with his buddy for Fragya's sake.
"I saw it on her file"Captain looked away,he didn't want to let the officer see the uncertainty in his eyes.
"And you believed it?"officer Nico was never giving up on interrogating his captain
"What am I supposed to do Nico? disregard the evidence because your lover told me to do so?"captain Kamzan was like a storm right now.His heart rate moved 150 kilometer per hour.If the man he was arguing with, was not his buddy,he would not only fight in words but also in fist.No one had the right to question his judgement.He judged together with the evidence,he could give compassion but it had limitation.
"Think whatever you want and I hope you are not punishing the wrong person here" Officer Nico rested his case,he surrendered to their heated argument. He looked at once again his captain's well-combed hair before he walked out.
Officer Max was already standing on the door of captain Kamzan's office.He witnessed their rising and falling intonation.He just remained standing on the door because the tension was in the air but even so, the scenario didn't prevent him from throwing a joke.
"I think officer Nico was right"officer Max spoke while eyeing officer Nico who was ready to leave the office.
"Max, did you come here just to say that?"he noticed that his captain removed the officer title attached not just to officer Nico but also to him,he did this when he was frustrated and angry, a sign that someone pressed his boiling point.
"Bro, it would be uncomfortable for you to see those scars during your honeymoon"officer Max wasn't bothered about his captain grumpy mood,his mission was to cool down his captain first before he would leave
"Max!!get out" captain Kamzan threw the file to officer Max but he dodged it,he ran fast towards officer Nico who was still on the hallway talking to some officer
"Okay...okay wait for me officer Nico"

After the captain's buddies walked away Malina came to his office.Kamzan looked at her in an angry way,they just ended the argument,the tension was still in the air,why Malina needed to appear carrying the subject of their heated discussion?,this question was currently running in the captain's brain
"Ahm I would just like to ask if we will continue the interro--"
Kamzan felt that his veins on his forehead formed like tangled roots.He could see stupid people everywhere but inspite of this he still answered calmly
"Officer Malina,her wounds are equivalent to one-month whipping,if you think that it is still not enough you can proceed to her cell right now!"
he shouted the last word,he was stressed,his mind was like a mud,it was blacker than darkness.This was just his response to officer Malina but as if officer Malina sensed his bad mood ,she just lowered her voice and said
"I am sorry captain,of course we can continue the interrogation after her wounds healed,I will go back to my office again"
