"Prepare your mouth to talk , the one who will interrogate you is a beast"This was the line she could remember while looking at the man approaching her cell.
The first time Kamzan entered her cell,Yerein saw that this creature was not an ordinary soldier.His stance was solid and domineering.
His charisma and confidence signified that he swayed many women.
His uniform and the badges attached to it screaming of high position and rank.It was a proof that he survived many battles and escaped the angel of death many times by the permission of Allah.
The calm composure and handsome appearance, telling her that he won many wars and hearts.
At that moment, Yerein was able to see hope in the form of captain Kamzan.He looked like a principled man crafted by his values and beliefs.
But what Yerein failed to know was that though this man was a kind and gorgeous man he was not her ally,he was her enemy.If Yerein saw him as hope at first sight ,captain Kamzan saw her as hate at first sight.
"So this is our first meeting huh,?anything that you want to tell me, before we start the"bloody" interrogation?"This was how he introduced himself.His name was a killer in interrogation,most of the suspects confessed on the first day.What's his secret? He gave an aura that he was kind,he would show some piece of his heart to lure them and let them see that he was trustworthy.Yes, he played the "trust" card.
Yerein thought deeply,she didn't want to miss the opportunity"I--...."there was a long pause on Yerein's mouth.Captain Kamzan was looking at her, trying to read her eyes.
"I don't have all the time in this world, Mrs.Terrorist"
"I am innocent"he didn't expect it,he looked at her for a long moment before he spoke again.
"Mrs.Terrorist I want you to tell me about your husband"There was a hint of an annoyed tone in captain Kamzan's voice.He pronounced all the words slowly.
"captain,I heard that you are the best soldier here,you judge fairly, can you give me a fair judgement?"she wanted to take a hold of the chance.She heard from the other prisoners that he was good at solving difficult cases, and he was a beast when it came to justice.
"what you don't understand here is,I help the victim, not the suspect"Captain explained in an elementary manner.
"I was being framed up, please you are the only one who can help me;you are my last hope on this foreign land,I am not a ter--"before Yerein could finish it,Kamzan immediately stole her lines.He didn't want to hear her plea anymore.It sounded sincere and true, but it was impossible to be true because the evidence was heavy enough to convict her.
"you are making the situation difficult,we will start your punishment tomorrow, next time don't create another story just tell me about your husband"captain Kamzan stood up while she was still looking at him.She couldn't decipher on why no one wanted to hear her.On why, they wanted her to speak about the truth, but didn't want to hear the truth when she spoke.
Yerein didn't talk again until Kamzan was gone from her sight. It was useless,it was useless.She tried to press her luck on him, but he seemed already resolute to his judgement.It seemed that it would not change, no matter what she would do.

."so what we have here, our dear Mrs.Terrorist"captain Kamzan entered the cell for the second time.Yerein gave a lopsided smile,she wanted to laugh on her new nickname, but the truth was she wanted to laugh on the joke of her life.
Captain Kamzan got annoyed with her reaction"is there any reason to laugh with your miserable life now?tell me so that I can join you in your happiness"captain Kamzan said mockingly while slowly planting his butt on the interrogator chair, across from him was where Yerein was sitting.
"I don't know, when did I become a Virgin Mary,I mean I just couldn't help but laugh at how fast the life turned me into a worst human"The thing was Yerein felt hopeless,she thought she could cling to captain Kamzan but nay! this captain was also like everyone else, prejudiced and self-centered.
"you are telling me that you are innocent??come on play me some new song"Kamzan spoke again without eating all the words that were being cooked by Yerein.
"no, old song is better and full of truthfulness"
Kamzan stood up and looked down to where she was seated"look here, once the interrogation started every wrong answer you will give, you will be slashed by the hard rubber"This was supposed to be the day that they would start to punish her but the in-charged of her punishment was not in the camp yet.Captain Kamzan didn't want to do the whipping,he knew the woman's back would break easily with his iron fist.
"you are cruel"Yerein couldn't help but immediately answered after she heard the punishment, but she was not only talking about the punishment,she was also talking about the event yesterday.She couldn't forget the day when her hope was being smashed by the so-called super human of everyone in the camp.
"I couldn't think of any possible corresponding punishment except whipping since you don't want to be touched because you have too much highest respect for yourself "captain Kamzan noticed that there was no traced on yesterday's vulnerability on her.Yesterday she was begging,now she was fighting.
"I am a muslimah non-mehram can't touch me" with full of pride and chastity Yerein sailed those words from her mouth.
"for Allah's sake, don't carry that name; you are just a Muslim who ruined Islam but since you couldn't ruin Islam, you are ruining yourself"Kamzan irritated tone boomed out again;he didn't get why this woman kept on raising her honor when she was already in the pit of hell.
"it's your law who ruined me, no matter what you say I belonged to Islam"She answered like a fearless soul that couldn't be tamed by any scary words.
"you killed many innocent lives;you ruined many families and yet, you are claiming that you belonged to the religion that prohibits that kind of act?"captain Kamzan became emotional from the inside because Yerein husband's terror attack was the cause of his broken past,saying these words was like lighting up the fire of his internal hell again.
"I didn't kill anyone"Yerein spoke almost on the verge of tears,trying to defend herself again.Her bravado had limitation,it took a lot of her to gather the pieces of her broken self and pretended she was whole in front of her interrogator.That's why one painful word she would hear would pierce through to her core, but no one would notice this,since no one knew how to read her eyes.
"Enough I told you to play me a new song;anyway just prepare your back starting tomorrow because I know you will take all the punishment to protect your husband" captain Kamzan got irritated on their discussion,he was supposed to start the initial interrogation today, but the woman had a tongue that could spoil everyone's mood.
