Once upon a time long ago
A bunch of friends went away,
To dive in the river together
They were a total of ten in the day.

But when they were done enjoying
And the sun was about to set,
They tried to ensure that everybody
To their houses safely get.

One of them tried to count the rest
And was astonished to find,
That the counting that was ten earlier
Has now decreased to nine.

The other one again counted
And one of them was still absent,
They dived again to find him
But in vain their hard work went.

They were drenched in water and grief
When a man came crossing the river,
They told him that they're just nine
While a group of ten they were.

He made them stand by in queue
And then counted properly,
They again became a total of ten
The man should've passed a bit early.

They all went back to their village
Happy to find the missing man,
And the man who did the miracle
Was astonished to see the clan.

They were always counting the others
But left themselves to make one less
Although the magician didn't waste
His energy to explain the case.

Poet's Note

Hey reader,
These idiots thought the man was a magician. I am also an idiot. I believe my readers are also magicians who can swing their wands and give me my success.
