Strange Technology Chapter 4

"Can I have a drink please?" Silver asked.

"Sure! I'll go get it for you!" Sonic said as he walked into the kitchen.

Sonic came back with some water and gave it to Silver.

"Here you go."

"Thanks." Silver took a sip of water.

"Is your future different from ours?" Sticks asked.

"As far as I can tell, yes."

"So robots rule the future!?" Sticks asked.

"Yes and no. They help us with a lot of things but I can't explain due to future consequences."

"Huh?"

"What he means is that he can't reveal to much of the future Knuckles." Amy said.

"Oh...why not?"

"Because the future could change and it might end up badly."

"Oh."

"Wait? Isn't the future already ruined since you're here?" Sticks asked.

"Not that I know of. Blaze called and hasn't said anything about that yet so it should be fine."

"Would you like a tour around our village?" Y/N asked.

Silver gave you a soft smile.

"Sure. Why not?"

You smiled back as everyone left the house.

While you were all walking, you noticed that Silver was looking around a bit surprised. Not to surprised though.

"This is a neat little town."

"It's what we call home." Amy said.

"Yup! It sure is!" Sticks said.

Silver walked towards a vehicle and starts observing it."

"What an interesting creation." Silver said.

"It's a car. You use it to drive around. Don't you have cars in the future?" Tails asked.

"We travel in a different format."

"Oh ok."

"Are you hungry Silver?" Y/N asked.

"Yeah a little."

"Me too! I'm starving!" Knuckles said, rubbing his stomach in hunger.

"Let's go get some food." Amy said.

They went to Meh Burger and walked to the cashier.

"Hi there! What can I get ya!?"

"You should try their burgers Silver. It's really good!" Y/N said.

"Really? I never had one before. How much?"

"$5."

Silver grabbed his wallet from his pocket and gives him a card. The cashier looked at it confused.

"Is this some kind of joke?"

"What do you mean?"

Suddenly, the card began to fly in the air as it projected a hologram of Silver's ID while scanning the cash register. The cashier freaked out as he saw this.

"Silver The Hedgehog, you have purchased one burger for $5. Sending money now!" The robotic voice said as it projected money into the cashier's hand which turned into a normal $5 bill. The cashier was shocked and a little scared as the card landed back in Silver's hand.

"Uh...h-here's your burger." He said as he quickly gave it to Silver.

"Thanks!" Silver went to sit down while the others were both shocked and surprised by this action.

"W-What just happened?" The cashier asked in a nervous tone.

"Uh..." Sonic laughed nervously.

"How about we order so we can forget about it ok?"

The cashier nodded and took their order. They sat down and looked at Silver. He noticed that they were staring at him and he looked confused.

"What?"

"What did you do with your...um...." Tails didn't know what to say.

"Oh! You mean this?" Silver took out his neon looking ID card.

"Yeah."

"This is Holo Card. It scans the register whenever I make a purchase and it gives the cashier the money. It's kinda like what you guys call credit card except the money actually is given right away. I still need to go to banks of course."

"That is super cool! I wish I had one of those." Tails said.

"You have a lot of strange technology. Are you sure you're not working for Eggman?" Sticks asked.

"I don't even know who that is."

"Oh we battle him all the time." Knuckles said.

"Anyways, let's just enjoy our meal." Y/N said as everyone began to eat.
