*3rd Pony View* As rainbow and shy made their way back to the restaurant, they had left home around 10:00 P.M. so they could arrive a little early.
they slowly trot through town wearing their new purple uniforms, partially admiring them while they walked.
they passed by most the buildings in town square, the mayors office, bon bons candy shop, vinyl and neons music store, then they arrived in front of the pizzeria, only not like they saw it during the day.
there was the sign atop the building which during the day stood tall and colorful, now it seems it had lights on it the whole time "Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria" was lit up brightly and the animatronics on the sign were lit up as well.
"wow" fluttershy said as they kept moving towards the restaurant.
"beautiful isn't it?" a familiar voice asked from the doorframe of the restaurant.
rainbow and shy turned their attention to the door and saw jeremy standing there with the keys in his hoof and that unsettling grin upon his face.
"quite, i'm assuming that the boss had the leave early and you're in charge of locking up?" rainbow asked as she crossed her hooves.
"yeah, said he had something about having planned a date tonight with some pretty lady." jeremy said as he tossed the keys over to dash and motioned for both of them to follow him inside.
once inside he gave them the full tour of the restaurant before bidding them adieu and taking the keys back and locking the building up.
by the time rainbow and shy got acquainted with everything, it was nearly midnight, and almost time for their combined shift to start, so they made trot to the back of the building and took theirs seats in the guards room.
the clock struck twelve and their shifts officially started, and not nearly 5 minutes in, the phone that rested atop their desk began to ring, filling the room with the tone as it echoed through the restaurant, so they picked up and put the phone on speaker mode.
"Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about. Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay?" the guy on the phone said as rainbow opened up the device and shy looked over her shoulder and they took a look around the restaurant to make sure things were in place.
"Uh, let's see, first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read. Uh, it's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A magical place for kids and grownups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon as property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced." Hearing this shy looked at rainbow in shock.
"Blah blah blah, now that might sound bad, I know, but there's really nothing to worry about. Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No. If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too. So, remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and we need to show them a little respect, right? Okay."
"So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit. Uh, they're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night. Uh...Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long. Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?" shy sank in fear as the guy on the phone mentioned mutilation, "Rainbow, are you sure this job was 100% safe when we signed up?" shy asked as rainbow could see the worry in her eyes "don't worry shy, we should be fine, now let's hear the rest of this message" rainbow said as the guy on the phone continued.
"Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person. They'll most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to...forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit. Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh."
"Y-Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up. But hey, first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night." the phone cut off and the guy spoke no more.
shy almost shook in terror in her chair as rainbow dismissed most the call as a whole bunch of hooey.
"we're gonna be fine shy, this is all probably part of the bosses test to see if we are ready to take on this job" rainbow said as she checked the cameras and saw a little percentage on the bottom left of the screen.
"hm, power supply percentage is at 98%, seems like we aren't drawing much power with just the camera's" rainbow said as she wrapped her hoof around shy's shoulder "relax hun, we'll be fine, we just have to stay here till 6 A.M." hearing rainbow say this somewhat calmed shy's nerves, but she couldn't help but still feel some insecurity.

Cliffhanger!, i will get a lot started next chapter and we will see if rainbow and shy are truly ready to survive 5 nights at freddy's.
