Liam's little accident

Chapter 2 - Suspicions arise...

I could just imagine Sophie in this chapter, haha, she would be SO suspicious...

Let me put it out there - I love this story a LOT because it's supposed to be funny and sarcastic - a lot of my other stories are quite serious, and this is meant to be fun and happy :D

 *Harry’s POV*

I don’t think I’ve ever met someone like Sophie before – at least, I’ve never met a girl with so much attitude.

Of course, she doesn’t know who we are, and girls don’t usually out like themselves around us, so that could be part of the reason why?

Louis and I eventually got bored of laughing at each other, and so we decided to interrupt Niall and Sophie’s conversation.

They were sitting in front of us, so we both thought it would be perfect to embarrass them both.

I sneaked up behind Niall’s ear, and Louis sneaked up behind Sophie’s ear, and at the same time we whispered, “Hello lovebirds!”

Niall turned and glared at me, and Sophie jumped, and it was easy to see she was feeling uncomfortable.

“So… what should we talk about?” said Louis, and I started laughing at him. He’s definitely the most random guy I know.

Trying to ignore Louis’ awkwardness, I decided to ask Sophie about the One Direction music we heard her playing in the car.

“When Liam and Louis and I came to help you out of the car, we heard you blasting One Direction – are you a fan of them?”

She snorted, and the sound was so unnatural that I couldn’t help but start laughing.

Pretty soon, Louis and Niall were laughing as well, and as everyone knows, Niall’s laugh is contagious, so Sophie started laughing too.

“I… can’t believe… that you thought…. I might actually like… ONE DIRECTION!” Sophie managed to say, in between laughing fits; I couldn’t help but feel bad for the rest of the boys.

We’re travelling with a hater!

Well, a hater that doesn’t know who we are…

*Liam’s POV*

We got to the hotel in Nevada; everyone was worn out and tired, and we all just wanted a hot shower and some hot dinner.

But as we entered our hotel room in Nevada, Sophie’s mouth dropped, and she looked suspiciously at me.

“Something’s going on here, isn’t it? Some kind of sick ploy; you run me over, take me ‘under your wing’, tell me I’ll be with you for a week, and then we stay in a penthouse the very first night?? Are you kidnapping me?!” Sophie demanded to know.

“Only if you want us to babe,” Harry winked, and she threw her hands up in the air out of frustration.

“Is he always this immature? And you as well!” Sophie said, pointing accusingly at Louis. “You both acted like complete weirdos on our way here!”

Louiss tried to look shocked, but he high-fived Harry as Sophie turned around to me again.

“You keep acting like the leader of this gang thing, or whatever you five are, so explain to me RIGHT NOW what the heck is going on! I mean, come on! Look at this place – there is no way the five of you can afford this, even for just one night, so what’s the deal?”

Now I’m not usually a fierce kind of guy, but I have to say that the way Sophie was acting was actually kind of… cute.

In a really angry way.

“Well, do you remember how we told you we were going to some concerts on our way to Minnesota?” Niall asked Sophie, and she nodded.

“Well, we’ve kind of got VIP tickets – and no, you’d hate them, by the way, so don’t bother asking who they are.” He said, poking his tongue out at her as she opened her mouth to ask.

“But don’t worry Soph, there’s PLENTY of food in the pantry,” Niall said, but before he could finish, Sophie was off to the kitchen.

“Well, I guess that settles that then,” I said quietly, feeling a strange pang in my stomach. Niall and Sophie must be getting along quite well – he just called her Soph.

She acts so tough and angry around us, and snaps when I’m trying to be nice, but Niall can call her Soph?!

I’ll never fully understand girls.

My phone started blaring ‘My humps’ – a ringtone that I have NOT set – and I looked at the Caller I.D.

Paul was calling.

“LOUIS! Must you always change the ringtone for Paul??” I shouted as he and everyone else started laughing, much to my dismay.

No back-up support, honestly. Sometimes being serious is hard. Too hard.

I joined in with everyone, and soon my phone stopped the song.

“Oh crap! I forgot to actually answer!” I shouted, freaking out, which of course made everyone laugh even harder.

I returned the call straight away, but this time Paul didn’t answer.

“Oh my God guys, Paul is going to be so worried because I didn’t answer! What if he gets mad and we get in trouble?? What if-“

The hotel room door opened, and in walked Paul. He raised an eyebrow at me, and I tried to pretend that I wasn’t freaking out – of course, it didn’t work.

“Are you okay there Liam?” he said, with amusement in his voice. “I just called to say that I was nearly up here.”

“Right… Um, Paul meet Sophie, Sophie meet Paul.” I said, realising that Paul and Sophie had no clue who the other one was.

As it was, Sophie was wide-eyed and staring at Paul’s muscles, looking a bit surprised… and intimidated.

“Hey Sophie!” Paul boomed, “Are the boys treating you alright? No incidents yet?” He started laughing at his laugh sentence, and I couldn’t help but notice Niall holding his breath.

“No, uh, no incidents yet. Are you like their bodyguard or something? You’re so buff!” joked Sophie, without realizing she’d guessed exactly right.

Paul started to say something, until Niall blurted out, “I have to tell you something outside Paul! It’s urgent!”

So Niall and a confused looking Paul went to a different room to talk; the boys and I realized he was informing Paul that Sophie had no clue about who we were, and that she was just getting a ride with us. 

So Louis, Harry, Zayn and I initiated Plan B: Distract Sophie.
