I was laying in bed asleep when I heard a tapping on the window I shot up and sat on my bed I looked over and their was a note taped to the window it said

Dear.......bird brains girlfriend

I do not know you and you do not know me I have a question for you.....why so serious oh and ps I have 1000 sticks of TNT under the tower if I see green around your hands I will blow everything you ever loved to pieces

I was about to run to robin when I felt a cold arm around my waste I decided to scream when another hand covered my mouth and I felt a pair of cold lips press against my ear

I only do this because I'm having fun the day I stop having fun I will just walk away the person had whispered in my ear their breath cold and damp I got the compleat opposite feeling I got when robin was around. The person had pulled out a knife slowly and gently dragged it along my cheek being careful not to cut me. The next thing I new the person had slapped me across the face making me black out.

I woke up in a dim lighted room tied to a chair by chains that somehow caused my powers to fail I was about to scream when someone came out of the shadows he had pail white skin greasy wavy green hair that went down to the bottom of his ears he wore a yellow shirt green bow tie purple pants a purple wast coat and brown suede shoes....but the thing that scared me the most was his smile he had two large scars going from his lips upward to his cheeks they were painted red and around his eyes were painted black I was shaking petrified on what he would do to me would he give me those scars would robin still love me if I had those scars my thought were cut off by his voice.

Why so serious he asked his voice flat yet showing me so much emotion

Who are you I asked

Me.....well define who are you do you mean the me that rotted away in an asylum because of your little boyfriend not understanding the me that had no other road to go down other than lunacy the me that escaped the asylum wanting revenge or the me that being left alone with someone could drive them straight to compleat insanity. He said that with so much anger

Your name I asked with somehow pleading eyes

My name is joker he said with smile

What has happened to you why do you look like you do why do you not have sanity why have you brought me here I asked my lips curving into a frown.

Wanna know how I got these scars? My father was a drinker and a fiend. And one night he goes off crazier than usual. Mommy gets the kitchen knife to defend herself. He doesn't like that. Not. One. Bit. So - me watching - he takes the knife to her, laughing while he does it! Turns to me, and he says, "Why so serious, son?" Comes at me with the knife... "Why so serious?" He sticks the blade in my mouth... "Let's put a smile on that face!" And... why so serious? He said I was in shock so it was his fathers fault he is insane but I actually wanted to know more.

Why are you insane I asked sheepishly

Well my dear all it takes is one bad day to drive the sanest man to compleat lunacy you see madness is like gravity all it needs is just a little push he said with a smirk

And why did robin put you in an asylum I do not mean to be rude but you do need help I said

Well because I'm different and people they don't like different you see if I didn't have these scars I would be able to live in piece he said

Oh can you please tell me more I asked

Well alright so well I believe what doesn't kill you simply makes you stranger he said

Well you know how you were talking about being different well I'm an alien and robin has not thrown me in an asylum I say

That's because you look normal if you looked different you would be in arkham by now he said my eyes widening in horror was this true I started crying

NO NO THAT IS NOT TRUE ROBIN LOVES ME FOR WHO I AM I yelled at the pail man in front of me

I'm sorry dear he was brought up by the big bad batman who trained him that work comes first but what happens when he see's the ugliness inside of you he said

No no no no no I screamed over and over trying to convince myself that it is not true even though I new that it was true I cried and cried is this how the joker felt it this what it feels like to have your sanity escape you

You are a very unlucky girl the joker said as he left the room
