So much for going on a date. The rest of the week was as hectic as ever. It was as if the Universe didn't want the date to happen. After work hours, everyone was usually so worn out and exhausted.

Finally Friday came, the weekend was near and the much needed rest Cassandra desired would be gotten. She could see herself staying in bed for hours, doing literally nothing. The thought was pleasing to her, so much so that she sighed out loud.

'penny for your thoughts?'

Looking away from her computer screen which she had been staring at while lost in her thoughts, she saw Nicholas standing across her desk . She hadn't even noticed when he'd gotten there.

Work had seemed to only tune down but not extinguish the intensity of their desires for each other. It was still there , waiting like a flame eager to set everything around it ablaze. Every single eye contact and physical contact had sent shivers down Cassandra's spine. It was like a constant reminder of what would be , if they ever did manage to get around their work.

'I was thinking of how I'd want to spend my weekend'came her reply.

'and how'd that be?'

'in the comfort of my room, in bed .'

'in bed?'he asked.

'yeah , I'd...' she paused and noticed the look on Nicholas face. Of course, Typical male.
'could you not do that?' she felt a little uneasy yet , excited at just how much he wanted her.
He gave a grin that almost made her heart jump out of her chest.' I can't help it when a woman I want, makes mention of the word bed ,in a sentence. My mind has a mind of it's own.'

She couldn't help but smile. She had missed his flirting. That week she'd seen why he was a business tycoon. He was good at what he did. He didn't leave anything unchecked ,he knew what he was doing. 'I believe I owe you a date'

'yeah, you do'

'since you already have plans made with your bed for the weekend. Could you please spare me some of your time tomorrow evening?'

'I don't like not being able to carry out what I have already mapped out,' she put a thoughtful look on her face , as though in consideration of his request.

'well, it's either me or your bed, choose wisely' Nick said 'of course you'll choose me.'he said with a grin.

'what makes you so sure of that?'

He reached out for her hands, pulled her up and dove in for a brief kiss. It was brief yet,it seemed like time had stopped for them to have that moment to themselves.

'your bed doesn't stand a chance.'he said against her lips. Looking up to meet his gaze,'what if I do decide to still choose my bed?'

'then I'll have to be in the bed with you 'he replied with a cocky grin in place. She let out her laughter ,she just couldn't help it. 'what time?'

'I'll come get you by 6'

'Where are we going?'

'That,my dear, I won't say.'

'How then would I know what to wear?'

' Dress casual.' he said ' Although I'd very much prefer you with no clothes on.'

'You do realize where we are right?'

'I do but, it doesn't matter to me and it shouldn't to you.' he leaned in for another kiss , before hesitantly stepping back. 'we had best get back to work.'

Standing in front of the mirror and checking herself out was Cassandra. She was deliberating what to wear, how to look, how to arrange her hair, amongst other things. She couldn't recall the last time she was so stressed out on what to wear just to go on a date. She hadn't even done that with Austin. Okay, she probably did but, it was definitely not this extent.
