"Gasp!"

I suddenly woke up in a dark room in the dead of night. It was pitch black, and all I could hear was the sound of my faint breath.

What? I think I just had a terrible dream. I think I had a nightmare, but now that I'm up, I couldn't remember it. The creepy feeling that I felt in my dream was still fresh though.

I sat still on the bed for some time, and then rose impulsively.

"Oh, my. Princess, why are you here at this hour? Can't you sleep?"

Not long after I left the room, I bumped into Lily, who was passing through the hall with a tray of cups. It was quite late and it seems she hasn't slept yet
"Dream, I had a dream."

"What?"

"I have to go see my dad."

Lily's eyes opened wide at my abrupt remark. But I didn't say anything more and started walking again.

"Princess, why all of a sudden...?"

Lily rushed after me with her question and checked my face, but I somehow kept my mouth shut.

"The night air is cold, so wear this."

Lily put down the tray she was holding and wrapped the shawl she was wearing around my shoulders.

"Oh, my goodness. Princess, what's the matter?"

"Where are you going at this hour...?"

The court ladies who were still awake questioned me as they saw me out late.

"She's going to see His Majesty for a moment, please keep that in mind."

But they soon bowed their heads silently at Lily's words and continued with their work.

I left Emerald Palace and headed for Garnet Palace. Following behind me and Lily were the knights that Claude placed in front of the palace some time ago. Although he did tell us that he immediately removed the dangerous magic circles that he had drawn all over the Imperial Capital, Claude was still adamant that I'll disappear if he looked away. So I couldn't get to Claude through teleportation.

Luckily, Claude isn't asleep yet.

"It's unusual for you to come visiting all of a sudden."

Claude, who was reading a document in the Oval Office, raised an eyebrow when I came in. It is rather unlike me to come at this late hour.
