It was raining.

The sky was cloudy.

The whole palace was filled in a gloomy aura.

People were quiet.

They would only speak in whispers.

A body had been found.

Elions body.

One of the maids had found the body.

And it was located just a corridor from Arias bedchamber.

She could at first not believe it.
That someone she knew would die just like that. Though she did have her suspicions regarding who killed him.

Yes, killed him. The others had claimed that it was just an accident.

That a snake was there and bite him and that he must have died there.

But that didn't make any sense.
Aria had unfortunately managed to catch a glimpse on Elions body.

And there was no way he had just gotten bitten.

No, his body was practically mangled. Parts of his body was missing.

Either he had been tortured before he got bitten or after.

The only one that resented Elion was ℎ𝑖𝑚..

She knew he had become..crazy but she never expected ℎ𝑖𝑚 to act so bold.

To kill someone when you know you would be the only suspect.

She didn't cry that day.

Because she couldn't accept that he was gone.

Even though she had seen his body. Or what was left of it.

She was just.. numb.

She could not accept that her friend  just had died.

That he had been killed by the very sociopath she was in love with.

Everything that had happened just seemed to surreal.

Like something out of a fairy tail.

Not like real life.

She just wanted to go to sleep, wake up and live the somewhat normal life she did over a year ago.

When she did not know that the love of her life was a killer, when her and her friends were happy and alive.

But she did not have the power to turn back time.

She sighted and tried to go on with her day.

Anastacius chambers

The crown prince was in some ways happy but in others not so much.

He had killed one of the many obstacles that dared to meet with ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑦.

He had killed him and had then let the guard dogs feed on his dead flesh.

'In the end he wasn't even good enough to be served as dog food'

Anastacius laughed at the thought and took a long sip of his red vine.

His smile turned into a frown.

'To think that he thought ℎ𝑒 would have any chance of 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 from 𝑚𝑒?

He bitterly chuckled again.

Because he knew regardless of the fact that he had killed one of his rivals she still did not want him.

And he hated that.

He wanted, needed her.

It hurt him.

But he would never admit that.

He knew deep down that after she found out the truth, she would never choose him. The glass broke in his arms due to how hard he clenched it.

Blood dripped from his hands onto the wooden floor. He started down almost paralyzed down into it.

Then he brought his head back and started manically laughing as if he just heard a funny joke from a close friend.

He had decided it did not matter.

He could wait..

It didn't matter if he couldn't have her now. As long as he could one day, that was fine with him.

'One day..'
