Chapter 12

Emilia's POV                                                                                                                     Four days later

It is Friday afternoon now and today is the day when I'm to meet this Mr. Romano. Belle has been freaking out about the entire thing. Ever since she researched who the CEO of the company she started going crazy and when I asked her who it was she never told me. I could have searched it up but I decided not to.

I was cut out of my thoughts by the ringing of my office phone. I placed the file I was holding on the table and answered it, Belle's voice spoke through the speakers. 

' The meeting with Mr. Romano is in 15 minutes. ' I could hear the excitement in her voice causing me to become even more anxious.

' Ok is that all ' I was a little upset that she didn't even tell me who it was but it's fine I'm going to see him anyway.

I hanged up the phone but it started ringing again. Sighing I took it back up.

' Yes? ' 

' Sorry for disturbing you ma'am but there is a man by the name of Mr. Romano here to see you. '

' He's early, send him to the conference room on my floor. '

' Ok ma'am. ' I could hear her telling him what I had said in the background before I put down the phone and made my way into the conference room.  

The door to the conference room opened and two persons stepped in. I looked at the famous Mr. Romano and my mouth almost opened in surprise. Almost.'

"Ms. Fernandez it's nice to meet you. I'm Alina Cossimo, we spoke on the phone." I smiled at her and shook her hand.

"It's nice to meet you too Ms. Cossimo." She smiled and nodded her head at me. M y attention went back to the man in the room.

"Ms. Fernandez pleasure to meet you." He offered his hand which I hesitantly took. Instead of shaking my hand he brought  it to his lips. He placed a light kiss on it at the same time unwanted feeling started to erupt in my stomach so I pulled my hand away.

"It's nice to meet you too Mr. Romano." I said offering a smile.

"Please call me Luciano." He said, a sly smile playing at his lips. I let out a nervous chuckle before gesturing them to seats.

He sat in the chair beside me causing me to shift awkwardly. Get yourself together.

I cleared me throat, "Well since you're here early how about we just start now?" He nodded and took a file out of his briefcase.

During the meeting while I was reading the entire contract I could sense his eyes on me. Time went by quickly and before I know it, Luciano and his assistant were leaving.

After they left I sat down in my chair. How could I be so slow. An Italian owned security company under the ownership of Romano. Now I understand why Belle was acting so strange.

I got up and walked to her office. The second I walked in I regretted it. "How'd your meeting go?" She was grinning mischievously.

"It was good, great in fact." She hummed, spinning in her chair. 

"Finish up your work because we're leaving at 7." She stopped spinning and stared up at me.

"Why?"
