So he did, he explained everything. How he broke her heart that night, how she left him after Prom, how she blocked him, what he felt when they talked in that cafe. Everything. Jenny held his hand the entire time, maybe she was his girlfriend, but he saw her as his friend too.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" She was too calm for someone who just heard the story about his boyfriend and some other girl. Well, not some other girl. The love of his life.

"I didn't want you to worry about it, I was afraid you were going to break up with me. I really love you Jenny, even if I suck at showing it."

"I know honey, and I love you. But..." She paused and he looked at her with his eyes, red of all the crying. "You didn't answer my question. Do you still love her?" He exhaled. He couldn't lie to her. Not anymore.

"I don't know. It's been four years. But seeing her again was like no time passed. Maybe it's just a moment." That was a lie, he knew it wasn't just a moment. "No, it wasn't just a moment. Everytime I see a picture of her I want to cry. Or break something. I don't know, she really broke me. I don't know if I want her back in my life in any way."

"Well, I'm here for you. Always. I can't be selfish and ask you to forget her and be with me. I know you love me, but maybe we are just meant to be really good friends. I think you need to live without her and without a girlfriend." Of course she was going to be the greatest and most understandable person in the world. He hated that he couldn't be totally in love with the perfect girl. He still wanted the girl who broke him into a million pieces.

"You're the best, you know that right? I feel like shit cause I can't give you what you want"

"You're the best, you know that right? I feel like shit cause I can't give you what you want"

"What I want Ricky, is for you to be happy. And if I'm being honest, I didn't really see us lasting forever. I'm glad we did each other happy for a year. It's what we both needed. But I still what you in my life. I mean, you choose the best romcoms to watch." He laughed with her and hugged her. Maybe she was right. She made him happy and helped him to fix himself. He was glad she was a part of his life. Not all couples are meant to be together forever, but we should be thankful for all the things they taught us and shared with us.
