Chapter 13

My birthday

Well it's now four days after Casey's party and Sam hasn't spoken to me at all I'm not sure what happened at the party but whatever it was it's pissed Sam off. I haven't spoken to Casey since I caught him with Emma but I've received hundreds of text messages and phone calls, I haven't answered or replied to any I don't think there's much more to say.
Nathan has walked me to school the last couple of days he's become a good friend.I don't think Casey or Sam like the idea of us being friends but I see no reason why we shouldn't be.

I got ready for school and made sure I remembered to pack my sports wear as I'm trying out for the girls soccer team after school. I'm so excited to be getting back into sports I've missed being so active. I went downstairs and was greeted by massive balloons and a big happy birthday sign and both my parents were at home for a change.
"Happy birthday sweetheart" my mum shouted very excitedly
"Thanks" I replied I'm not really interested in celebrating
My mum made a breakfast buffet with bacon, eggs, toast, pancakes. Waffles, fresh fruit, pastries and freshly squeezed juice it looked lovely.
Sam came down looking beautiful like always she shot me a look and went to the table to eat.
"Let's go out and have a family meal together to celebrate Charlie's birthday tonight" my dad suggested while he took a sip of his coffee.
"I can't I've got cheer practice it's our first game tomorrow" Sam announced
Although a meal out sounds nice and it would be nice to spend time as a family I just don't want to do it. I'm not big on birthdays anyway and spending time with Sam is not celebrating.
"I've got try outs dad for the girls soccer team so I'm not sure what time I'll be home sorry" I informed him
My dad looked upset that we couldn't spend time all together as a family but he's got to understand Sam and I aren't like we were before we've grown apart.
" fine I'll just take your mother out then we can call it a date night" he said while shooting my mum a loving smile. These two are just adorable and I'm glad they will be spending time together they work so much that they hardly see each other.

Breakfast was beautiful and I'm so full I can barely move but needs must I've got to go to school and Nathan will be waiting for me.
"Wait Charlie you haven't opened your present" my mum called and then pasted me my gift.
It was wrapped in Very pink paper very girlie. I ripped the paper off and inside was a small red box I opened that and my parents had got me a lovely bracelet it looked expensive and I'm not used to wearing jewerley but I loved it.
"Thank you so much I love it" I happily said I put it on my wrist and set off to school with Sam following behind.

I got to the end of the street and Nathan was there waiting for me.
"Happy birthday beautiful" he cheerfully said and then placed a small kiss on my cheek and handed me my gift.
I could feel my face go red no guy has ever kissed me even if it was just a friendly birthday kiss on the cheek. I know Sam had seen what just happened as she came running over and placed her palm of her hand right across my face. I was taken back by her actions she as never slapped me before and the fact that she's done it hurts more then the slap itself.
"Leave her alone Sam" Nathan shouted and stood in front of me like my bodyguard.
"You kissed her you fucking kissed her" she cried
"It was a friendly kiss to say happy birthday get a fucking grip" he shouted at her
"So what a kiss is a kiss you bastard" she screamed
I suddenly got the nerve to answer her
"What happens between Nathan and I has nothing to do with you. We are friends and if you don't like that then that's your problem. And you get that slap for free do it again and I will slap you back"
" really you will slap me yeah like fuck you will, your weak and it's you that's in the wrong your fucking my boyfriend" she screamed as she started to wave her arms in the air for some reason.
"Your not together so I'm doing nothing wrong if I was fucking him" I pointed out and I don't see anything wrong if I was sleeping with him we're both single and the way Sam has been acting sister code isn't a problem. Sam must've got really pissed off with that and as lunged straight for me placing her fist this time right in my face. I could feel the blood dripping down my face but I wasn't going to take it anymore sister or not she's a bitch. I suddenly ran up to her by this time Nathan started to push her away from me. I grabbed her hair and pulled her to the ground and then I found my fist connecting to her face but not once three times. The anger that was going through me of all those times I was bullied I just lost it.
"Charlie stop it" Nathan screamed as he pulled me off her
"You need to calm down now" he warned me then went to check on Sam.
Blood was all over Sam's face and I knew I've gone to far but I honestly didn't care I have had enough of people treating me like shit.
Sam got up and started to make her way back home.
"Finally you stuck up for yourself but you and I are no longer sisters I hate you" she whispered in my ear.

My heart was breaking Sam and I were very close but since we've moved here everything as changed.
"I hope her face isn't too bad she's cheerleading tomorrow for your basketball game" I said worriedly to Nathan
"Don't worry about it she's been pushing you for a while I'm proud of you for sticking up for yourself" he gave me a small smile and I suddenly felt better .
"Your coming aren't you" he asked
"No it's invite only and no one has invited me" I answered
"Well I want you to come and wear my top we normally have a cheer wear them to support a player but I want you to wear mine"
"I'd love that thank you but..." i was interrupted by the feel of Nathan's lips on mine.
I've never been kissed before so I wasn't sure what to do but I just went with it and it felt fantastic. He was so gentle and his lips were so soft. He began to massage my tongue with his and that was a whole new level I don't know what was happening but I began to feel very strange in my lady parts more then when Casey was rubbing my thighs.
I pulled away quickly shocking Nathan.
"Sorry it's just. I haven't done this before and I'm getting a bit excited if you know what I mean" I said feeling very embarrassed
"Oh I see" he replied with a smirk
"Don't smirk" I told him shyly
"If you don't want this us I understand Charlie I don't want to rush you or do anything you don't want" he assured me
"No I liked it" I answered honestly
He then began to move closer to me and planting his lips on mine again.
Happy birthday to me I've finally had my first kiss.
