Dylan considered himself properly drunk. He was having a good time, and didn't care if he had a crush on Thomas. He was laughing, chatting, and dancing like an idiot. What a great night.

-

Thomas was giggling with Rosa. She had said something about butts, and Thomas had commented on Dylan's. Rosa wholeheartedly agreed Dylan had the nicest butt in the room. They could appreciate a good view of it from their seat on the couch.
"Can I tell you something, Thomas?" Rosa asked, giggling. She was pretty tipsy.
Thomas, completely drunk, answered, "Course, what it is?"
"I want to be Dylan's girlfriend."
Thomas frowned. "No you don't."
"Yes I do."
Thomas really liked Rosa. She was a very likeable person. So he let her down slowly.
"I kissed him."
"You kissed him?"
"Yup."
"Don't you have a girlfriend?"
Thomas frowned again. Yes, he did have a girlfriend, didn't he? He was in love with his girlfriend, right?
Maybe not.

-

Dylan was having so much fun. Kaya, also drunk, marched up to him.
"Drunk?" She asked.
"Yeah. Its great."
She smiled at him. "That's great."
"I think I'm gonna go talk to Thomas." Dylan said.
"No! Don't do that while you're in this state! You'll regret it."
Dylan shrugged. He knew he would regret it.
"I'm serious, Dylan. Don't do it or I'll never speak to you again."
Dylan sighed, consenting. "Fine."
"Dance with me."
Laughing, Dylan allowed himself to be pulled to the dance floor.

-

Later on, Dylan found Thomas alone.
"Hey, Thomas. What's up?"
"Nothing much. What's up with you?"
Dylan giggled. "Nothing. I've been looking for you."
"Oh? Why?"
"To tell you that you look amazing tonight."
Thomas blushed. "That's nice, Dyl. You look good too."
Dylan grinned. "I was thinking."
"Don't hurt yourself."
"Shut up!" They were both laughing.
"Anyway," Dylan continued, "We could use some more practice."
Thomas played dumb. "Practice what?"
"You know what."
"Sorry Dyl. Don't know what you mean," Thomas murmured, moving closer to Dylan.
Dylan exhaled, harshly. "Come on Thomas. Don't make me say it."
"Say what?" Thomas asked, pulling Dylan closer by his shirt.
"Kiss Me."
That was all it took.
