Chapter 4 - The Bet

= JADE'S POV =

"Jade... You still haven't changed a bit. Still the same as ever. *sigh* Fine, I won't force you to recite the pledge. But, I'm challenging you. Like old times..." he said while a smile plastered on his face.

Well everyone in the room is shocked even my gang. The gang doesn't know what Uncle Trev (their professor for the moment.) looks like, but they heard of him. And the students here are maybe shocked because a teacher of a gangster school has a nerd niece.

"You still know my personality well. Hmmm... Another challenge... I just had my dear grandfather's sweet and lovely greeting last night and now another one? *sigh* Fine, I'll accept it. But what can I get if I win?" I said in a bored tone.

"Last night, huh? I'm sure father still won. Anyways, when you win, I'll give you a mate for your precious pet, Breeze." - Uncle Trev with a playful smile on his face.

Well, everyone in the room has no idea on what we're talking about. They just listened.

"You're wrong about grandfather, he lost to me last night... And... You said, you'll give me a mate for Breeze?" I asked for assurance.

"Wow. You won from father? You're improving. And as for your question, yes. I will give a mate for her. I think she's lonely when she's alone." - Uncle Trev. (professor)

"There's a chance that she might be lonely though. But there's one thing I need to know... My choice of breed or your choice of breed?" sabi ko habang naka-taas ang isa kong kilay.

"Your choice. Well, mind telling me, what your choice of breed is?" - Uncle Trev.

"White Bengal Tiger. Oh, and if I win in this challenge and you gave me nothing, I will surely kill you." - me with a dangerous glare.

Yung mga students ay nagulat sa pagkasabi ko ng breed na gusto ko. Well, alaga ko kasi ay isang White Bengal Tiger. And that tiger is a SHE, a GIRL, or a TIGRESS. And her name is Breeze.

"Don't worry. You know me, my dear. I don't break any deals." - Uncle Trev.

"Good. You know me as well so might as well go on... What will you do if you win?" I asked with a cold voice.

"Well, as much I love you as a niece and your beauty, I hate your get-up." - Uncle Trev.

And as usual, bulungan ng mga talande na mga babae at lalaki.

"Psh. Beauty daw. Ang pangit kaya niya." - boy 1.

"Tama ka, dude. Di nga sya pasa sa taste ko eh." - boy 2.

"Tama naman si sir, eh. Ang pangit ng get-up niya. Isama mo pa sarili niya." - girl 1.

"Oo nga. Hindi talaga siya bagay sa school na to. Nerd eh. Wala na yan." - girl 2.

Tss. Mga insecure. Hayaan na nga. First day naming 8 dito eh. Papaka-bait ako ngayon. So, balik tayo kay Uncle Trev.

"So... You were saying?" - me.

"I was saying, I hate your get-up. If I win you'll change clothes in my choice of style." sabi niya na medyo iritado sa suot ko ngayon.

Hayy naku naman. Ano bang magagawa ko. Vain kaya yang si Uncle Trev. Kapag nasa public yan hindi masyadong pinapahalata na super vain siya. Pero pag ako lang kasama, tadtad ng facial yang si tito. Kaya kapag makikita niya ako na hindi niya gusto ang get-up, bibili siya ng damit na bagay dun sa tao at pipilitin na isuot yun pag kasama siya.

"When and where?" - me na medyo bored na.

"Why? You want to do it already? What? Here and now?" - Uncle Trev.

"Your choice, since you're the one who made the challenge." - me.

"Ok. Ikaw nagsabi niyan ah. Wala ng bawian. Ang laban natin ay gaganapin sa field. And...

.

.

.

.

.

.

Ngayon na tayo magsisimula." sabi niya sabay smirk.

*sigh* (__ ___ ")
