i jumped up from the alarm on my phone,
i groaned and pressed the 'stop' button

i slide out of bed tiredly having my knees hit the floor

"why school start so damn early.." i spoke to myself

i hopped up walking straight to the bathroom

i grabbed my towel wetting it with hot water and wringing it out so it could be damp

i washed my face then soon after brushed my teeth

after getting dressed i hurried my ass downstairs

by experience i know that my mom will dip on my ass if i don't be fast enough..
annoying ass

i ran through the door and straight to the car and hopped inside

my mom took a moment to look back at me and smile turning back to the road she immediately look back at me and frowned

"girl , what the hell you wearing?" she asked

i looked down at my sweats and hoodie trying to see the problem

"clothes.."

she smacked her lip and turned to the road pulling out of the driveway

"back in my day-"

"ma you're not that old.." i say looking out the window as the building flew by

"girl- anyways like i was saying if i went to school like that i would've been-" she stopped to think

"what y'all call that- roasted?"

"ma no-" i almost busted out laughing

"girl what ever it is , they would've been talking about me so bad." she explained

"well , i'll happen to have you know 75% of the girls wear stuff like this in my class the rest just do too much."

"alright now , whatever you say." she says pulling into the school parking lot

"thanks for not leaving me ma.." i say hopping out of the car closing the door

she rolled down the windows as i started walking away "girl you never going to leave that alone huh." she yelled

i waved her off walking into school immediately looking for my bestfriend huey

expecting him to be hanging out with caesar or jazmine
