"I have to get top marks, Professor. If I don't, I won't get the apprenticeship, and then I can't open my own practice, and then what do I do?"

"Marks," Snape groaned, holding his head. "You've been top of your year in potions since your first year. Nothing's changing on the N.E.W.T.s."

Eleanora drummed her fingers on the desk. "Are you sure?"

"Yes. Now if you don't have... any other concerns..." He nodded towards the door.

Eleanora pretended not to take the hint. "I know I'm good at Potions, but getting top marks on the N.E.W.T.s is hard. I just don't know if I can-"

"How's Bill?" It had the exact effect Snape wanted it to.

Eleanora slid off of the desk. "Thinks I'm in love with Fred." She started towards the door. "Anyways, I'll see you later, Professor."

Eleanora had been avoiding talking to anybody besides the twins about Bill since she saw him at the second task. She was angry, but trying not to be. The twins were good at helping her find humor in the situation. Bill had written her a few times since they last spoke, but he'd grown more and more distant. It was driving Eleanora insane. She didn't know how to subtly tell him how in love with him she felt. She at least wanted him to stop acting so detached. She had to get his attention.

"We're doing it," Eleanora said when she burst into the common room that night.

"What?" Fred looked up from his and George's chess game.

Eleanora marched over and settled herself on the armrest of George's chair. "We're going into the Forbidden Forest."

"The-" Fred looked absolutely baffled. "Eleanora-"

"Yes?"

"I'm in," George said lazily, stretching and resting an arm around Eleanora. "When do we go?"

"Tonight."

"Wait, wait." Fred was still confused. "You've been going on for the last seven years about how dangerous the forest is. Ever since Bill told you all about- oh. Bill."

"What are you talking about?" said Eleanora, narrowing her eyes.

"You want to go into the forest because Bill said not to."

"Ohhhh," said George, the realization dawning on him. "Because we're mad at Bill."

This wasn't going how Eleanora had expected. "We are not mad at Bill. We're just slightly annoyed with Bill, which has nothing to do with us going into the forest."

"Mhmm." Fred went back to eyeing up the chess game.

"Well, whatever the reason, I'm in," said George. "We have to do something fun before you leave."
