Rant #7

XxXFayfayXxX here. I've been so inactive on this page. _-_

I don't understand this generation. Is it just me, or is everyone coming up with some new slang word/phrase each day?

Last year and probably the year before, it was:

First, lemme take a selfie! *duck face*

Yeet.

Eyebrows on FLEEK!

BAE. DAMN, THAT'S BAE.

Y'all thirsty.

Hit that nae nae...

Bruh.

Bye Felicia!

Turnt.

Slay!

You're a basic hoe.

And so on and so forth. I admit, I've used a few...But I can't help it. These words are literally everywhere. I find myself using these words almost involuntarily. Oh, and let's not forget:

YAAASSS! Yas, b*tch, yas.

Let's all admit it - we've all said one of these words/phrases at least once. If you haven't, then stay the way you are. This generation needs good people like you.

There's a new addition to the dictionary: F*ckboy.

Some of these words have been around before last year. But I just can't imagine how in the early 2000s, we've been waiting for High School Musical 3 to come out, but now, everyone's worrying about who's a f*ckboy.

Am I the only one who enjoys being in this generation, but hates being in it as well?

I even see some snapchats with ten-year-olds cursing. And no, that's not the youngest age group in which kids curse. Trust me.

I literally hear these conversations everywhere:

"Damnnn, that guy over there is bae!"

"Right! OMG girl, look at my eyebrows. Are they okay?"

"They be on fleek like always. And your outfits are always on point."

"Thanks, I got it from Louis Vuitton. Wait...how about if that guy is a f*ckboy...?"

"Ew, da fuq? Let's go before he tries talking to us. Ugh."

"Yeah, he can just go talk with some basic ratchet hoes. He's thirsty as eff."

"Slay, girl, slay."

Maybe I exaggerated that a little bit...*looks back at the past 2-3 years* Nah, don't think so anymore.

Reminder: Instead of worrying about what people will think about your eyebrows, think about what Allah thinks of you're speech and actions. You and I may not wake up tomorrow morning. Our last words should definitely not be: "Bae didn't text me back..."
