Personality: Masato is a diligent nurse who is very dedicated to and passionate about his job. He was also a fan of idols, due to a patient named Tendōji Sarina showing him a concert on TV and his colleague Gorō showing him magazines, articles, and music videos about popular idols, especially Hoshino Ai. Of course, he keeps these interests from interfering from his work.
He is friendly with a lot of patients in the hospital, especially the kids, whom he gives candy for being well-behaved. Masato even encourages Ai to hang on when she is about to deliver her triplet children.
Masato's determination to confront Ai's pursuer, even at the danger of his own life, illustrates his bravery and commitment to defending people he cares about. Overall, he is presented as a kind and committed physician who is prepared to go to tremendous measures to help his patients.
