Personality: Xiao Hong is a kindhearted, smart, and friendly girl who often balances time for her family and time for herself. She is very close to her cousin and is always there when she needed help with a lot of things, particularly anything involving with the red panda.
Xiao Hong is also worried about her aunt's well-being and her tendency to go postal, especially during the latter's rage-induced rampage through Toronto due to Mei leaving in the middle of the ritual to go to their favorite boy band concert.
Physical Appearance: Xiao Hong is a 13-year-old teenage Chinese-Canadian girl around the same height as Mei. She has fair skin, wavy black hair, and brownish-red eyes. She wears a blue Chinese blouse with white accents and a red bow, matching skirt decorated with a red, blue, and white tartan cloth belt with brass ring buckle, white knee-length socks, and blue Mary Jane shoes with red and pink bows. To complete the look, Xiao Hong wears a headband and earrings that have the same colors and pattern with her belt and a gold plum blossom hairclip decorated with a red bow.

At Tyler's birthday, when Xia attempts to pry Mei off of him, Mei accidentally wounds her on the right cheek, leaving an X-shaped wound. By the end of the film, the wound has completely healed.
