"Guys I'm really tired" Sean mumbled

"Same here" Brooke yawned

"Are you guys staying for the night?"

"Actually Corpse is wai-" Rae tried to say something but Toast cut her off

"Yeah we are"

Everyone slept in the living room - Some on the couch and some on the floor

I grabbed my phone and decided to call Corpse

"Hey"

"Hey, what're you up to?"

"I'm just sitting on the bed waiting for the others"

"Waiting?" I questioned

"Yeah..?"

"They're sleeping though"

"What?"

"I'm so sorry Corpse I didn't know you were waiting.."

"It's fine" He mumbled

"Are you at a hotel?"

"Mhm"

I laid down on my bed and stared at the roof

"I really wish you were here"

"Sorry" He sighed

"I have a question"

"What is it?"

"Do you.. You don't trust me do you? Did you think I was going to judge you? Did you think I'd be rude to you?" I started talking like a waterfall

"No Addy! I trust you.."

"Then what is it? How am I holding you back?"

"It's not you, Addy" His tone got louder "It's me!"

"How? Why are you doing this to yourself?"

"It's not easy to move away all of my problems by drinking Addy! It's not as easy as it was for you"

"Answer my fucking question!"

"There is no answer!" He was lightly yelling at this point

"Good night Corpse"

"Addy, are you okay?" Rae knocked on my door

"No" I started crying "You heard it, didn't you?"

"I- I didn't mean to listen" She got closer to my bed

"Why didn't he come? Does my birthday mean nothing to him?"

She sighed "It's not just about you, Addy.. He wasn't ready! He didn't want to ruin your expectations, he was scared"

I crushed into her arms

She was right, I'm selfish

I'm a selfish Bitch

I don't care about other people's feelings

I only care about myself

"But don't take it out on yourself now" She hugged me tightly "It's a normal reaction, we all just appeared in your living room! You're just overwhelmed"

"No, Rae" I sniffed "I'm always like this! I'm so selfish"

"The Addy I know would always care about the people around her, she'd make them happy" She looked into my eyes "And you're Addy! You're the sweetest person I've ever met, don't be too harsh on yourself"

I leaned in for another hug

"You should sleep now" She stood up and walked out of my room "Good night"

I had to call Corpse first
