Maple Donahue has three things in her life: her record player, a penchants for classic rock, especially the Beatles, and her car; a ‘67 Triumph Spitfire. She’s on the wrong side of perfect.

Andrew Hartson has two things in his: an old Fender Strat he never again wants to play, and a nick on his face from where he cut himself shaving this morning. He’s on the wrong side of the school walls.

They have one thing in common besides their shared history: a permanent seat in the principal’s office. Their task, or rather, their punishment? Plan and design the school’s prom. Together.
