One-shot about Hunter and Edric's developing relationship over the years.

This is a kind of short fic that happens between the time Hunter gets caught and then when he wakes up. I thought it'd be funny to write a little thing. It also contains a little bit of things that happened on-screen so there's that as well! It kinda shifts perspectives a bit but it's mostly in a third person omniscient narrative.

Hunter thought he knew what he was--a teen prodigy, the emperor's right hand man, and a powerless witch who was given a chance--but after infiltrating Hexside and accidentally becoming friends with kids his age for the first time ever, he's not so certain what the future holds for him anymore. And matters only complicate further after seeing a page of one of Belos' books. Has his whole life been a lie?! He wasn't who--no what--he thought he was. He was a Grimwalker. And if not for the kindness and mercy of Willow Park, the Emerald Entrails, and the residents of the Owl House, everything would have spiraled out of control. OR: Hunter is a clone and can't deal with that thought alone. (Starts right after Eclipse Lake and quickly leads into recent episodes) ***NOTE: This is a rewrite of my other Hunter fanfic, "Grimly He Walks". I wanted to continue the idea, but make it more canon compliant with the recent episodes and all.
