"We have to move now!" Aiello shouted over the gunfire. I shot a few dead and ran out with him.
I reloaded quickly and spayed a full clip into a load of Nazis.
As we ran through the gunfire, I could see the others further ahead.
The next thing I saw was the building swarmed with Nazis blow up. I'm guessing it was the explosives Crowley and Rousseau planted. I tossed a grenade to the enemies behind us both and continued to run to Turner.

Zussman looked over at us both in relief. "Thank fuck you both are alright." I crouched behind the wall with him and sighed.
I glanced over the wall and found  Crowley and Rousseau sprinting over to us, killing Nazis on the way.

"It's not over yet!" Turner shouted, referring to the Nazis who were high up in buildings with MG42s. I propped myself up on the wall, setting my sniper down with me before taking one out. Once he was down, more bullets fired at me. I quickly hid behind the wall before I was shot.

"We have to move up!" Pierson ordered, running behind trucks to use as cover. The rest of us followed but I stopped dead in my tracks once I heard a blood-curdling scream. "Help me!" A French civilian yelled out in pain. "I can't move!" I sprinted over towards him and dragged him behind a truck. I looked down to see shrapnel piercing his thigh. He winced in pain every few seconds.
I looked him dead in the eye and whispered "I'm sorry." Before ripping both pieces out of his leg. He screamed out in agony. I quickly pulled out bandages and gauzes. "Stay with me, okay?" He nodded and groaned when I lifted up his clothing, cleaned it and applied alcohol. "Green! Get your ass up here!" I heard Pierson shout at me.
"I'm nearly done! Daniels cover me!" I shouted and watched Daniels run to my aid.
I wrapped the wounds up tightly and lifted his clothing back down. "Thank you so much." His French accent made me glance up at him. I nodded and grabbed my gun once again before running back to Pierson and the others.

"Did you save him?" Turner asked.
"Yes, sir." I replied and he patted my shoulder.

We cleared Paris out. Some Nazis retreated in the end. The French began to cheer and celebrate for the victory.
Fireworks in the sky caught my attention instantly. I watched as colours of red, white and blue burst into the sky.
"Vive la resistance!" I heard them shout.

I rallied on Turner with the others. "Outstanding work, boys... and girl. Outstanding." Turner praised.

"We did it!" Rousseau cheered and hugged Crowley.
"Looks like we might get that champagne and caviar after all." Pierson spoke, looking down at his weapon.
"Hey, Daniels. Still think there's a young gal looking for a handsome GI?" Zussman asked, making me giggle a little.
Daniels shook his head, smiling at him. "Sorry, buddy. That was just to boost your morale."
Zussman rolled his eyes, "Now he tells me!"

More fireworks were set off. Vivian stood beside me, "City of lights..." She said, looking up in awe. "Finally, something to celebrate, eh, Crowley?" She asked and he smiled, gazing at the beautiful colours in the sky.
Crowley glanced at me, a small smile on his face. "There's no turning back. France has reclaimed Paris." His thick English accent rolled nicely, causing me to grin a little.
Pierson walked up beside me, "This ain't exactly over yet. The war's not done." He glanced at the fireworks and Crowley turned to him. "Ah, come on, Pierson. Let them have this."
"Eh, that's what Turner's for."
Pierson's gaze was on me for a split second before he looked back up at the lights in the sky. I actually caught him crack a smile.

"Alright everyone! Let's go. Drinks are on me." Rousseau led the way to a huge bar. I watched everyone follow her, but my four friends stopped to look at me. "What are you waiting for? You deserve a drink." Aiello flashed a toothy grin.
"You go on without me. I'll be inside in a moment. I have to check if the guy is okay." They nodded and turned on their heels. I walked over to the man I saved, who was getting assistance to stand up by other soldiers.
The French guy looked at me with a grateful smile. "Thank you." I patted his back with a small smile. "Happy to help. You take care."
I watched the soldiers take him to a nearby CCP.

-----------------------------------------

I entered the bar but Rousseau quickly grabbed me, dragging me to the bathroom. I raised a brow at her but she took my helmet off, giving me a positive look. "You need to let your hair down. You helped regain Paris. Let me thank you." And with that, she let my hair down from the tight and messy ponytail. She pulled out a comb and gently worked through my long black hair. "Have your eye on anybody in there?" She asked me, a little smirk crept up on her features. I laughed slightly.
"Not really. I'm still kinda new to these people." I answered as she finished with my hair.

She pulled out make up from her small bag and picked up a mascara. "Have you ever wore makeup before?" She questioned and I smiled at the memories. "Yeah, I used to wear it all the time."
She began to apply the mascara, giving my lashes the stunning look I missed. Once she finished, she pulled out a brow pencil and quickly got to work. Luckily, her hair was dark, so we could use the same shade. I watched her search around in her bag and pull out a powder. She applied it to my face and grinned. "You don't really need makeup." She complimented in her French accent. I couldn't help but smile. "Thank you."
She pulled out a red lipstick, "Finishing touch." Once she was done, she turned me around to face the mirror.

I actually looked... Nice. It brought back memories of how I used to look. I gave her a hug and thanked her. She grabbed my hand and led the way. "Let's get you a drink." I couldn't help but notice that she only had slight makeup on compared to me.

We entered the bar, music blaring in the atmosphere and I could feel a few pairs of eyes on me. Rousseau ordered us both drinks and passed me one. I took a swig and thanked her. She turned to her fellow French civilians and then back at me. "I'm gonna go over there. Are you coming?" She asked and I declined. "I'm going to find my friends." She nodded and walked away.

"Green?" I heard over the music, I searched around and saw Zussman stood in front of me. He grabbed me and lead me to the Aiello, Daniels and Stiles. Aiello turned to us and his eyes widened. I blushed and took a seat with them. I sat next to Zussman and opposite Aiello. "You look different." Aiello stated and I laughed a little. Zussman slung his arm around my shoulders playfully, "She sure does."
"I was thinking the same." I confessed and Aiello grinned. "I like it." I could feel my cheeks heat up instantly and mentally thanked the powder for covering the pink flush.

I took another swig of my drink, the alcohol quickly warmed my throat. I looked over at Turner, who was making his way towards us, with Pierson following behind. They both carried drinks and sat with us. Pierson glanced at me and widened his eyes. "Well, don't you look different?" Turner chuckled.
"She sure does." Pierson mumbled and looked away.

"You all did an excellent job out there. You should go and have some fun." Turner encouraged and flashed a smirk at us. Rousseau and Vivian were dancing together, they both motioned me to come over. "Come on, Green!" Rousseau shouted to me, and I stood up from my seat, finishing my drink quickly before leaving the table.

Before I danced with them, I noticed that Rousseau still had the Nazi badge on the uniform. I ripped it off and chucked it behind us. I turned around to Crowley and pointed at him, "You do the same." I told him. He ripped off the badge and threw it somewhere. I gave him a smile before dancing with Vivian and Rousseau, even Crowley then joined in. He twirled me a few times, making me smile.

After a while, I got a little hot from the movement and walked to the bar for a drink. I watched Zussman dance with a woman, he looked a little drunk but I still smiled at him having fun.
The music began to slow down. I was about to have a taste of my drink but a voice stopped me.
"Want to dance with me?" I turned my head to see Aiello, holding his hand out for me. "I'd love to." I took his hand and let him lead the way.

Zussman smirked at us both, poking my arm jokingly and walked away back to the table. I looked back over at Aiello, who was looking down at me with a nervous smile. He wrapped his arms around my waist, bringing me a lot closer to his frame. I rested my hands on his shoulders. We moved in sync to the soft music and our feet moved together.
I was quite short compared to Aiello. My gaze was focused him the whole time. We heard a few whistles and cheers. I even heard Zussman shout "Kiss her!" I couldn't expect anything else from Zussman. We've been getting close recently. In fact, I've been bonding with all four of them.

Aiello pulled me closer to him, causing a gasp to escape my lips. "You haven't told me your name." I joked, raising a brow at him.
"Ladies first." He smirked cockily. I rolled my eyes at his cockiness and gazed into his brown eyes. "Heidi." I simply stated my name. It didn't feel right saying my first name, people referred to be as 'Green' for years.
"What a pretty name. I'm Frank." I smiled, still looking into his eyes.

The music started to fade. Aiello gave me one last spin before releasing me from his grasp. I watched him smirk at me before leaving to go to the bathroom. I rushed over to the others and sat down next to Zussman.
My heart was racing from the dance. My cheeks were burning.
I needed a drink. I grabbed Zussman's and took a huge swig before giving it back to him. "Someone's nervous." He teased and shoved me slightly.
"I'm not nervous. I'm fine." I assured him, even though I was. I never thought that would happen. Ever.

Turner chuckled, crossing his arms. "Go steady, Green. We don't want you too drunk." I nodded my head in agreement. "Yes, s-" Turner cut me off, "At the minute, it's Joseph or at least Turner. This is a celebration." He explained and I nodded again.

"I told him my name." I turned to Zussman. "He told me his too." I ran a hand through my hair.
"What is your name? You never told me." Zussman laughed.
"Well, you never told me yours." I retorted playfully.
"We're all friends here..."
"Heidi." I said, "Now, tell me yours." I looked at them all, except Turner.
They all told me their names, but my attention focused on Aiello, who was making his way back over to us. Zussman noticed, nudging me with his elbow.
"Give it a rest, Zuss." I laughed and stood up from my seat.
"I'm gonna need another drink." I mumbled, rushing to the bar.

I ordered a Vodka and downed it instantly. I ordered another and was about to repeat. "Steady on." Crowley laughed, stopping me from intoxicating myself. I shook my head, with a light chuckle. "I'm not thinking straight, am I?"
"Not really, Green. Just be careful." He joked and walked away. I grabbed my drink and headed back to the others. Crowley was right, I couldn't let my feelings get to me, let alone too much alcohol.

The music sped up, so more people began to dance. I set down my drink but was quickly pulled onto someone's lap. My eyes widened as I found Aiello looking up at me with his same old smirk. "W-What are you doing?" I stuttered shyly.
"Don't worry about it..." He slightly slurred. I looked up at Zussman and Daniels who were laughing at him. I rolled my eyes, facing Aiello. "You're drunk." I told him and was about to get off him but he pulled me closer. "Not yet." He groaned, closing his eyes. I sighed and let him hold me as I sat on him. I slowly finished my final drink. I couldn't have anymore, otherwise I'd be gone. Crowley and Vivian walked over and patted my shoulder lightly. "It's been a pleasure celebrating with you all. Until we meet again." Crowley smiled, shaking everyone's hand.
I held out my hand for him but he raised it and kissed the back of my hand. I tugged at a shy and confused smile. He stared at me for a few moments before turning to leave, "Goodnight." He and Vivian said as they left.

I looked down at my hand and then over at Aiello. I had never been so dazed and confused in all my life. Aiello loosened his hold of me slightly, I'm guessing he'd fell asleep. I sighed and shrugged at Zussman, who was smirking at the sight of us both.

The night had come to an end. Turner stood from his seat, slightly tipsy along with Pierson.

-----------------------------------------

The way back to the tent was odd. Daniels was dragging Zussman by his shirt, Stiles was almost carrying a half-sleeping Aiello. I was trying to keep Turner and Pierson from stumbling, even though I stumbled a little too. "Which one's my tent?" Turner mumbled as he stopped. I couldn't help but giggle at him. "Over here." I motioned to the tent and lifted the flap so that Turner and Pierson could enter.
"Thanks, Green. Night." Turner mumbled.
I left them both to sleep, "Goodnight."

I made my way to my tent, the others would be in there now. Daniels and Stiles were awake, but Zussman and Aiello were snoring in their sleeping bags. I sighed and chucked quietly. "Remind me to never drink with them again." Stiles muttered.

The three of us decided to try and sleep despite the loud snores filling our ears. Once I closed my eyes, I tried to wonder if Aiello would remember everything that happened. I didn't exactly know how to feel about it. It made my heart flutter when I thought about how he held me close to him.
Before I could think of anymore things, dreams crawled into my head.
