Chapter 1: The beginning

Bakugo and his two lackeys continued to assault our green haired companion in the alleyway corner.

Midoriya grunted in pain: 'This is worse than usual, Katsuki must be really pissed off at me,' Midoriya thought.

Deku yelped and grunted at every punch, kick and insult they carelessly threw at him.

Carelessy.

Without thought.

They should have thought twice.

Three times.

They didn't hold back.

Neither would Midoriya when he gets his revenge.

How he craves it.

Revenge.

He can't wait for it.

They'd have hell to pay later.

Some people just peeked into the alleyway to see what was happening but quickly looked away and left, saying that it's not their problem.

He remembered all of their faces.

All of their names.

They'll get what's coming to them.

Eventually.

Heck, even a few pro heroes strolled down the street, glancing into the alleyway before acting like they didn't see anything and kept walking.

Not the top rank pros, maybe they would have done something.

Naw.

The more fame-driven flashy pros that put on a fake façade to look good.

One of Izuku's new favourite heroes, Flashdrive: The shock hero, was texting om their phone and absentmindedly walked into the alleyway.

He looked up briefly before looking back at his phone and turning, starting to walk away.

Kacchan stopped.

"Wait wait wait, electric freak. Aren't you gonna help this little shit?" He asked confused, Deku looked up at the supposed hero with watery, pleading eyes.

"Please...help...m-"

"Sorry kid, my shifts over. I don't have time for this, I'm storing energy for when I'm needed," He interrupted the heart broken child casually and walked away.

'The Shock Hero: Flashdrive!

This new hero Is at #24 in the ranks, and has an electric type quirk!

His quirk allows him to store his energy and can expel that energy in electrical shockwaves!

The only drawback is that when he loses too much energy, his eyes start to bleed.

He has platinum blonde hair in a cowlick with a tall skinny body but has a decent amount of muscles. His eyes are usually saggy, but he puts on a good show for the public when he takes out villains in hero work.

He graduated from Shiketsu High because UA wouldn't accept him. They said he wasn't heroic enough and instead, accepted another student named Renz-'

'You've said too much!!'

'Oops! Sorry, Ke-'

'Just shut up! I'll take it from here'

'Fine'

'Anyway, here's a fun fact: He keeps his phone on maximum brightness 24/7 (even in the dark) so he can get used to the burning sensation in his eyes.'

As the 24th ranked hero walked away, Izuku remained bloodied and bruised in the alleyway corner. He was speechless.

Katsuki and his goons got a few good last kicks in before they stopped.

"Would you look at that..." Katsuki stated menacingly," Not even a PRO wants to save this quirkless son of a bitch!" He exclaimed, making his two peers laugh.

As they taunted him with various vicious remarks, Midoriya just stared at the spot where the supposed 'hero' stood a few minutes prior.

He couldn't help but feel a bit rejected.

A little?

No.

A lot.

...more than usual.

But who rejected him?

Many people.

His childhood bully.

The bully's lackeys...

Let's see.

His whole school.

The general public.

And the heroes.

'Heroes'...

What is a hero?

He didn't know anymore.

Ever since All Might rejected him and he took the long way home, he'd been skeptical.

He still needed to think.

But what he did know, was that no matter how many people walked by:

No one helped the little quirkless boy in the alley.

It was moments like these that made people think,

that made people realize,

that helped them find answers.

The moment when one last push, shoves you over the edge and you fall.

Fall down the cliff.

What's at the bottom at the cliff may you ask?

Enlightenment.

Answers.

+=+=+=+=+

It was getting quite dark and Izuku had stopped struggling.

He stopped his cries for help, his cries in agony, his cries for mercy.

His unanswered cries.

His rejected cries.

His... overlooked cries.

His cries in anguish, fear and pain.

They stopped.

Why?

Because he hit the bottom of the cliff.

He realized, that all this time he had been foolishly avoiding the cliff.

But life gave him the shove he needed to realize that falling off was what he needed.

What he wanted.

What he craved.

All his answers were at the bottom of this one fated cliff.

And he just needed to find them in the fog.

+=+=+=+=+

His green and black hair masked his eyes as he silently laid on the cold floor, receiving the last of the kicks.

His sudden change of mood and new mysterious aura sent shivers down the two lackeys' spines.

"Deku?" Kacchan asked loudly.

No reply.

"Dekuuuuu?" He pushed for an answer.

Still no reply.

"DEKU! ANSWER M-"

"Maybe he just figured out that no one cares about him anymore," A lackey with long fingers snickered.

Silence.

Kacchan slowly turned around to face the now-scared boy.

"Did you just actually freaking cut me off?" Bakugo asked in complete disbelief. Explosion spraying rapidly from his hands. His eyes bloodshot and filled with killing intent.

The boy in question now realized what he did and started to apologize and praise Katsuki infinite times to avoid punishment like the bloodied Izuku.

"Get the hell away from me!" Bakugo shouted, kicking him away from where he was standing.

The boy apologized and stepped back.

"Jeez," The explosive teen grunted," Can't even take a simple order"

The other goon snickered at his companion.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU LAUGHING AT, YOU LITTLE BITCH!?" He yelled, making the once laughing middle-schooler slap both his hands over his mouth.

After yelling a few more times, Katsuki spun around and turned his attention back to Izuku.

"So," He started. Explsosions bursting rapidly in his hands," What should we do to you next?" He grinned with pure insanity.

Izuku knew that smile.

The one that one showed when he was going all out for Izuku.

But not his full power. He always said that Midoriya wasn't worth wasting his full power on.

So, what did he do? He just made sure to make it as painful as possible.

Deku already had a few third degree burns on his right forearm from when he tried to block the nitroglycerin-like-substance-sweater's explosions.

Izuku closed his eyes and braced for another explosive attack.

He waited a few seconds.

Nothing.

Silence.

He couldn't help but feel a little warmer.

A smile played at the ends of his lips.

When nothing came, the green haired boy hesitantly opened his eyes to see a man in a black suit and tie with a white dress shirt underneath, holding back Katsuki's fist easily.

He had a skull like mask on with thick tubes in the back.

Despite his appearance, he felt a comforting aura around him.

One filled with kindness but fierce.

One with empathy but also conviction.

Very strong conviction.

He couldn't see the man's face and he surely hadn't met him before, but somehow, he felt like he'd known him his whole life.

"Now now now, let's not fight, children," He said soothingly.

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING CHILDREN, GRANPA?!" Katsuki yelled in a fit of rage.

He swiped his arm out of the mystery man's surprisingly firm grip and tried to rub his arm that the man held back without being seen.

It was quite sore, but Bakugo didn't let it show.

He would never let it show.

Why?

Because he's Katsuki Bakugo.

And he's just that damn stupid.

He doesn't let anything beat him, but he did know when he was beat.

He also didn't want to ruin his chances of becoming the greatest hero by getting into random street fights in dark alleys.

That's not the best reputation.

"Tch. Let's scram. I don't want that Old Hag to yell at me again about a god damn curfew, don't want to look at these losers for another second anyway," And with that, he trudged off, hands in pockets. His lackeys weren't too far behind.

Once the little assault group were out of Izuku's slightly hazy field of vision, he turned his attention back to his current savior...

"Th-thank you f-for s-s-saving me, s-sir," The stuttering boy said. He was still a little jittery from the shock and pain.

The man sweatdropped a little at his excessive stuttering.

'We'll have to fix that,' He thought.

Izuku attempted to get up on his own but stumbled back and fell.

"No need to thank me, my boy," The man said, extending a hand out to the beaten and bloodied boy, so he could get up.

They stayed like that for a couple seconds until Midoriya finally accepted his hand and successfully got up with the man's assistance.

"Wh-Who are you?" The All Might fanboy asked with curiosity.

"You may call me, All for One," The man said.

"Okay, All for One," Izuku said politely, but his mood shifted into a more timid tone," Why did you help me?" He asked quietly, looking down.

"Pardon?"

"Why did you help me? Everybody else didn't even spare a second glance, heck even a pro hero showed up and did nothing but tell me to stop wasting his time," He said, briefly emitting a dangerous aura when speaking of the 'hero'," You have been the only person to show me kindness like that," He stated, looking up at All for One. His genuine curiosity overtaking his stutter.

"There's still nothing to thank me for, I simply did what was right. No one deserves to be treated like that," The man in the suit claimed.

"If you don't mind me asking, are you some kind of hero? I don't recall seeing you before"

The man in the suit thought.

"Well, what is a hero, young man," He asked.

"I-I... I don't know," He confessed, looking off into the distance.

All for One smiled under his mask.

"They call me a villain," All for One stated, Izuku flinched slightly but didn't run. He didn't feel like this man would hurt a fly. For no reason, of course," Us villains are essentially just the outcasts of society that were treated just like you before they joined us. We're just like you"

"Just like me?" Izuku asked.

"Yes, people all over the world suffer like you every day, my boy. Society throws us out just because we don't fit into their elaborate puzzle of followers," He stated.

"Followers? Wh-who do they follow?" He asked, intrigued.

"The ones who society calls heroes," He said, but for some reason, Izuku couldn't help but feel disgusted at the word 'hero'.

But he didn't fight it.

He embraced it.

He was clearing the fog.

"So, come with me, break away from the followers. They have hurt you, haven't they? Come with me. We can cleanse this world. Join me and meet others like you. You can make a difference," He preached.

Izuku stood there. Thinking it over.

"You can put the heroes in their place. Be you own hero," All for One said.

Izuku looked up with pure determination blazing in his green pupils.

"When do we start?" He asked with a smile.

It wasn't his usual smile.

It had twisted intentions and malice screwed into it.

His twisted intentions and malice.

That just made it feel that damn more enjoyable for him.

It twisted into a partially sadistic grin that sent shivers down your spine just thinking about it.

It felt great to him though.

Revenge is the best medicine after all.

A medicine that he needed to take.

+=+=+=+=+

All for One smiled beneath his mask," Tomorrow. Meet me here at five in the morning"

"Th-thank you so much for giving me a chance!" Izuku said, giving the man a tight hug. He was crying tears of joy.

Joy.

He hadn't felt that in a long time.

Seems like the fog in his head is clearing.

He might just be able to see clearly again.

All for One didn't expect a hug. But gave a genuine smile underneath his mask and returned the fatherly hug.

He patted Izuku's head.

"Everyone deserves a second chance," He said gently.

+=+=+=+=+

"Now, what shall I call you?"

"Izuku," He said wiping his eyes," Izuku Midoriya"

"Well then, welcome Midoriya... to the other side," He smirked," I think you'll like it here"
